Škoda’s Kylaq Leads the Festive Charge as Sales Double — “Simply Clever” Meets “Seriously Booming”

Mumbai — Škoda Auto India has hit the accelerator and left the competition glancing at its taillights. The Czech carmaker recorded a jaw-dropping 110% year-on-year growth in Q3 2025, selling 17,161 cars between July and September, compared to the same period last year. And if that wasn’t enough, September alone saw 6,636 cars roll out, doubling sales over September 2024 — proving that when the festive wind blows and GST gets simplified, Škoda doesn’t just ride the wave… it surfs it in style.

🏆 Quarterly Records and Festive Tailwinds

The brand’s turbocharged performance is largely thanks to the Kylaq, its sub-4-metre SUV that has swiftly become a blockbuster hit. With over 34,500 units sold since launch, the Kylaq is proving that compact SUVs can be both premium and punchy. Add the Kushaq, Slavia, and the luxury-loving Kodiaq to the mix, and you’ve got a line-up that’s clearly firing on all cylinders.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, summed it up with trademark confidence:

“The festive season, coupled with the simplified GST framework, has created a strong tailwind across the industry. Our September and Q3 results reflect the strong customer response to our product portfolio, particularly the Kylaq, which has become a true growth driver for us.”

🌟 25 Years Young — And Partying Like It’s 1895 (Škoda’s Birth Year)

To celebrate 25 years in India, Škoda launched limited editions of its stars — Kushaq, Slavia, and Kylaq — while expanding its network to 315+ touchpoints across 177 cities. In classic Škoda fashion, the celebrations aren’t just about chrome accents and badges. The brand is putting customers at the heart of the party with the ‘Škoda Fan Fest’ and the viral ‘I love my Doda’ campaign, which has turned Škoda owners into unofficial brand ambassadors (and meme stars).

🏔️ Kodiaq Climbs Everest (Almost Literally)

Meanwhile, the Kodiaq has taken its premium-SUV credentials to new heights — quite literally. It became the first petrol-powered SUV to reach Everest Base Camp, etching its name in the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records. Because when Škoda says “4×4 adventure,” it doesn’t mean the mall parking lot.

🤝 Trust, Community, and a Bit of Desi Flair

Škoda is also doubling down on building trust with ‘Fans of Škoda’ drives across scenic destinations like Garli, Hampi, and Leh, plus Exchange Carnivals in major metros. With region-specific messaging in local languages, the brand is making sure that whether you say “Simply Clever” in Hindi, Tamil, or Marathi — the sentiment remains the same: loyalty on wheels.

And to give luxury buyers a new doorway, the Kodiaq Lounge was introduced as a fresh entry point into 4×4 opulence.

🔮 Festive Forecast: Green Lights Ahead

With a well-oiled strategy, a fan-powered community, and products that are clearly resonating with Indian buyers, Škoda Auto India looks set to make this festive season its biggest yet. If Q3 was a glimpse of what’s to come, expect more record-breaking headlines before the fireworks of Diwali light up the sky.
