Pune – In a move that feels as electrifying as a freshly charged battery, Blue Energy Motors (BEM), India’s pioneering clean freight platform, has announced the appointment of Anand Mimani as the new CEO of its EV & New Energy Business. Think of it as plugging in fresh leadership to supercharge India’s green trucking future.
With BEM already steering LNG, battery-electric, and energy-as-a-service under one integrated hood, Mimani now takes the wheel of the EV & New Energy vertical — responsible for strategy, product rollouts, and building partnerships that will make zero-emission freight not just a dream, but a dependable daily reality.
“Scaling this fast is like managing a convoy on a six-lane expressway,” said Anirudh Bhuwalka, Founder & Managing Director, with a grin. “Anand joining as CEO ensures we’ve got the right navigator, so the EV juggernaut doesn’t miss a charging stop.”
🚚 Charging Ahead – Literally
The EV & New Energy unit is expected to:
- Deploy electric truck platforms that make diesel guzzlers look prehistoric.
- Scale battery swap and charging hubs across freight corridors (truckers may soon argue over Wi-Fi speed at swap stations).
- Strengthen alliances with energy providers, logistics majors, and OEMs to build a “freight future-proof” ecosystem.
The Man Behind the Charge
Mimani brings 26 years of industry mileage across mobility, energy, and clean tech. His most notable pit stop was as CEO of GreenLine Mobility Solutions, where he led India’s largest LNG truck fleet, reducing over 10,000 tons of CO₂ — roughly the emissions of a small traffic jam in Mumbai. His work even earned him the “Logistics Leader of the Year (Sustainability)” award, proving he’s got both the horsepower and the eco-credentials to run this show.
“I’m thrilled to join BEM at such a pivotal time,” Mimani quipped, “and even more excited that my LinkedIn title now includes both EV and ‘New Energy.’ My family still thinks it means I get to drive a Tesla every day. I’ll let them believe it.”
A Focused Vertical with a Turbocharged Mission
The EV & New Energy business will run as a dedicated vertical, complete with its own roadmap, performance charter, and targets. But true to BEM’s integrated DNA, it remains synced to the company’s overall zero-emission freight mission — or as insiders call it, “Mission No-Smoke.”
So, with LNG powering the present and EV & New Energy gearing up for the future, Blue Energy Motors seems to have both feet firmly on the (green) accelerator.
