Toyota’s August Numbers: 34,236 Units Sold, Innova Throws a 20th Birthday Bash

Bengaluru: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced that August 2025 was a month of steady growth and a little celebratory flair. The company sold 34,236 units, clocking an 11% year-on-year growth over August 2024’s 30,879 units. Out of this, 29,302 units found homes in India, while 4,934 units set sail abroad—proof that Toyota’s charm works both at home and overseas.

Speaking on the milestone, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, said:

“We sold 34,236 units in August 2025, maintaining our steady presence in the market and are encouraged by the continued trust customers place in our cars and services. September will be an important phase for the industry overall, and we will closely observe market trends as they unfold. At Toyota, our focus remains on innovating and introducing value-added services through the festive season, with the hope of uplifting customer sentiment and making purchase decisions easier and more joyful.”

Milestones on the Road to Growth

  • Corporate Move: In a nod to its Make-in-India, Ship-to-the-World strategy, Toyota renewed its Wharfage Rate Agreement with Kamarajar Port Limited, ensuring smoother sailing for exports.
  • Innova’s Party Hat: The Innova, Toyota’s beloved MPV and family favorite, completed 20 glorious years in India with over 12 lakh customers served. That’s two decades of wedding processions, airport runs, and road trips—all in air-conditioned comfort.
  • Taisor’s New Look: The Urban Cruiser Taisor added some swagger with a new Bluish Black exterior and six airbags standardized across all variants—because style should always ride shotgun with safety.
  • Camry Goes Sporty: The Camry Hybrid EV Sprint Edition was launched, promising a sharper, sportier take on Toyota’s iconic hybrid luxury sedan. Now, eco-friendly buyers can feel a bit racier without any guilt.

The Road Ahead

With the festive season revving up, TKM seems all set to keep its showrooms buzzing. The Innova may be blowing out 20 candles, but Toyota is clearly planning to light a few fireworks in September—both on the sales chart and on the showroom floor.
