— The City Just Got a Lot Less Civil and a Lot More Sporty
New Delhi: Honda Cars India has finally decided to swap the briefcase for sneakers with the launch of the New City Sport — a sharp, blacked-out, attitude-heavy variant of its evergreen sedan, now dressed for speed… or at least for looking fast at traffic lights.
Designed for those who live life in the fast lane but still use the turn indicators, the City Sport embraces the mantra: ‘Life is a Sport’, and now, so is your daily commute. With its blacked-out trims, red-accented cabin, and multi-spoke grey alloys that scream “no-nonsense, but all style,” the City Sport is here to give your neighbours mild car envy.

Available in limited units (because exclusivity makes things cooler), the City Sport is offered only in CVT — because rowing through gears is for gym workouts, not traffic jams. You’ll find it in three colours, each carefully chosen to contrast with the aggressive black highlights: Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic — or as we like to call them: Fast, Class, and Sass.
What’s Sporty About It? Glad You Asked:
- Black Grille that glowers at lesser cars.
- Glossy Shark Fin Antenna because a regular one was just too pedestrian.
- Red-Stitched Leather Seats that shout “premium” without whispering “delicate.”
- Ambient lighting in 7 colours— because even your vibes need a mood ring.
- Black Roof Lining and Sporty Dash Garnish to make sure no inch of calm beige remains.
Under the Hood:
The 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine (yes, the one that sounds like it’s clearing its throat before attacking) returns with 121 PS of power, 145 Nm torque, and 18.4 km/l fuel efficiency. Add in paddle shifters and Honda Sensing ADAS, and suddenly your daily drive feels like pole position at the office parking lot.
Vice President of Marketing & Sales, Kunal Behl, added:
“This car is for people who don’t just want to drive — they want to be seen driving. The City Sport is for those who drink their coffee black, wear red sneakers to weddings, and think cruise control is a lifestyle.”
So, if you’ve ever thought, “I love my Honda City, but I wish it looked like it does deadlifts,” the City Sport is calling. But hurry — it’s a limited edition, and cool doesn’t wait.
