Mumbai:
In what can only be described as a “shockingly” good move, Tata EV has thrown the switch on India’s EV revolution—literally. With the inauguration of 10 brand-new Tata EV MegaChargers, the company isn’t just adding infrastructure; it’s delivering lightning-fast solutions to the nation’s most common EV woe: “Where do I charge this thing?”
Strategically zapped across highways and urban jungles, these ultra-fast 120 kW (and above) chargers are more than just power outlets. They’re pit stops of the future, where your car charges faster than your food gets served at a dhaba—and you get to relax with Wi-Fi, washrooms, and your favourite misal pav.

“We’re on a mission to make charging so effortless, you’ll forget it’s even a task,” said Balaje Rajan, Chief Strategy Officer at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility. “This is just the first 10 of the 500 MegaChargers we’ve planned. Buckle up, India—it’s going to be a high-voltage ride.”
Highways Now Have Horsepower… in Kilowatts
The Mumbai–Ahmedabad Highway got turbocharged with three fast-charging sites, including a flagship 400 kW charger in Vadodara—fast enough to add 150 km range in just 15 minutes, or approximately the time it takes to order, eat, and regret your second plate of bhajiyas.
Not to be outdone, the Delhi–Jaipur stretch is now an EV utopia with chargers spaced every 60 km—perfect for short stops and long chai breaks. Who said clean energy can’t come with hot samosas?
From Tech Parks to Tourist Towns
- In Bengaluru, the MegaCharger at Monk Mansion is surrounded by cafes and coworking spaces, making it the first charger that might actually make people look forward to traffic.
- Udaipur’s scenic charger at Ramee Royal Resort adds a royal touch to your charging routine, letting tourists relax like modern maharajas while their EVs sip electricity in peace.
- Even the Pune–Nashik road trip crowd has reason to cheer—Akash Misal House now powers both you and your car with equal intensity.

Partners Amp It Up
Akshit Bansal, CEO of Statiq, was all charged up:
“This collaboration is a milestone. With Tata EV, we’re electrifying every inch of India’s roads—and doing it with style.”
Kartikey Hariyani, MD of ChargeZone, added:
“We’re not just building chargers. We’re building confidence—for every EV owner who’s ever nervously stared at 7% battery left and 30 km to the next charger.”
The Road Ahead: Bright, Fast, and Fully Charged
With over 400,000 charge points targeted by 2027, Tata EV isn’t just making promises—it’s making progress. From misal houses to mega malls, from the Pink City to Silicon Valley (Bengaluru version), India’s roads are going electric—and this time, they’re taking the fast lane.
Next stop? Possibly a MegaCharger near you—and if you’re a Tata EV driver, there’s a good chance your next road trip will feature more volts than woes.
