April Sales Steer Company into Historic Territory as It Gears Up for 30-Year Milestone
Gurugram – Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is revving into its 30th year with a celebratory honk, having officially crossed the 90 lakh mark in domestic sales — and no, they’re not counting showroom test drives. This landmark achievement comes alongside a strong showing in April 2025, where the company clocked total sales of 60,774 units, including 44,374 domestic and 16,400 exports.
It’s more than just numbers for Hyundai — it’s a full-throttle affirmation of their ‘Make in India, Made for the World’ mantra. In fact, exports surged by 21.5% year-on-year in April alone, proving that Indian-assembled Hyundais are finding love not just in Ludhiana but in Lisbon too.

Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and COO of HMIL, expressed gratitude (and maybe a bit of glee):
“As we step into our 30th year in India this May, we’re humbled by the trust of 9 million Indian customers. The journey from Santro to Stargazer has been nothing short of legendary.”
Despite macroeconomic speed bumps, Hyundai seems unfazed. The company is also putting its foot on the gas with plans to begin operations at its new Talegaon plant later this year — further proof that Hyundai is here not just for the long drive, but for the entire road trip.
Because when you’ve sold 90 lakh cars, it’s not just a milestone. It’s a movement.
