Amid reports circulating about a potential delay in the completion of the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway due to a private land issue in Mandola, Baghpat, officials have stepped forward to offer clarity. Contrary to some claims, the main Expressway remains fully operational and unaffected by the dispute.
According to the clarification, the concern involves only a small 90-meter stretch of service road adjacent to Ramp-5 of the Expressway. Out of the four ramps constructed for entry and exit, three—Ramps 2, 3, and 4—are already complete and fully functional, along with their adjoining service roads.
The land parcel in question, connected to Ramp-5, is under legal contention, with the owner having filed a writ petition in the Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad (Lucknow Bench). The matter remains sub judice.
Despite this, authorities have ensured that the minor disruption does not translate into traffic woes. A temporary diversion has been arranged via the internal road network of the Mandola Vihar Yojna, maintaining uninterrupted traffic flow for vehicles using the service road connected to Ramp-5.
Officials reiterate that this legal matter poses no threat to the main carriageway of the Expressway, which continues to progress toward completion without delay. The Delhi–Dehradun Expressway, a crucial infrastructure link between the national capital and the hill state, remains on track to deliver high-speed connectivity as promised.
