Škoda’s Silver Surge: Record Sales Rev Up 25-Year Celebration in India

Mumbai – In a powerful start to its Silver Jubilee year, Škoda Auto India has shifted into top gear, posting its highest-ever monthly sales since entering the Indian market. The Czech automaker sold an impressive 7,422 units in March 2025, a milestone driven by the roaring debut of the all-new Kylaq SUV and bolstered by the steady performance of the Kushaq and Slavia.

The achievement comes as Škoda Auto celebrates not only 25 years of operations in India but also its 130-year global legacy. With its sights firmly set on the future, the company has declared this as the dawn of a “New Era” in India.

Kylaq Accelerates Growth

At the heart of this record-setting momentum is the Kylaq, Škoda’s first sub-4-metre SUV and a key pillar in its strategy to democratise premium European engineering for Indian roads. Launched in early 2024, the Kylaq quickly captured attention with its compelling value proposition—offering premium safety, comfort, and space in a compact footprint. Notably, it scored a full five-star safety rating under the Bharat NCAP, reinforcing Škoda’s strong safety reputation.

With over 15,000 bookings already, Škoda Auto India is executing its fastest-ever production ramp-up to ensure all pending deliveries are completed by the end of May. In a move that further sweetens the deal for prospective buyers, the company has extended the Kylaq’s introductory pricing through April.

A Human Touch: Ranveer Singh and a Wider Reach

Adding to the brand’s buzz is Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh, who was recently unveiled as Škoda’s first-ever Brand Superstar. His larger-than-life persona has helped inject fresh energy into the brand’s image and broaden its appeal among younger audiences.

Škoda Auto India’s customer outreach has also expanded significantly. From just 120 touchpoints in 2021, the network now boasts over 280 locations, with plans to reach 350 by year-end. Alongside physical expansion, Škoda is pushing digital innovation—introducing fully digital showrooms, online-only sales, and advanced aftersales services like the Škoda Service Cam for real-time service updates.

To top it off, all new customers are now eligible for a one-year complimentary Škoda Supercare maintenance package, further reducing the total cost of ownership and strengthening long-term loyalty.
