Bentley’s ‘The Black Rose’ Batur Shines with 3D-Printed Rose Gold Elegance and Bespoke Craftsmanship

A Bespoke Marvel Showcasing Innovation and Craftsmanship

(Crewe) – Bentley has unveiled its latest bespoke creation, ‘The Black Rose’ Batur, a strikingly luxurious vehicle featuring the world’s first use of 3D-printed solid rose gold in automotive design. This one-of-a-kind grand tourer exemplifies Bentley’s commitment to combining tradition with innovative craftsmanship.

A Rare and Exclusive Masterpiece

‘Black Rose’ is one of only 18 exclusive Baturs constructed by Mulliner’s Bespoke Studio. Among these, it stands out as one of just three right-hand-drive models. Commissioned through an extensive co-creation process, this unique vehicle blends exceptional artistry with cutting-edge technology.

The exterior boasts a custom metallic ‘Black Rose’ paintwork, exclusively developed for this special commission. A gloss Beluga upper body contrasts with satin Rose Gold accents, adorning the grille, bonnet line, mirror caps, lower body kit, and 22-inch tri-tone wheels. The wheels surround carbon ceramic brakes with black calipers, creating a striking visual presence.

A Cabin of Opulence and Innovation

Inside, the cabin is a canvas of dark, rich materials designed to highlight the gleaming rose gold elements. Bentley introduces an automotive industry first by incorporating 3D-printed 18-karat rose gold detailing at key driver touchpoints. These include the Drive Mode Selector, Bentley’s signature Organ Stop vent controls, and a steering wheel marker. Altogether, the rose gold detailing adds up to 210 grams of hallmarked precious metal.

This opulent detailing is complemented by sumptuous Beluga leather, charcoal grey tweed fabric, and Black Rose metallic veneer, ensuring the interior mirrors the elegance of the exterior.

Pioneering Sustainable Luxury

Demonstrating Bentley’s ongoing commitment to sustainable luxury, the rose gold used in ‘The Black Rose’ is sourced from 100% recycled jewelry materials, certified with a hallmark from Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter. This hallmark adds authenticity and ensures the highest quality.

Bentley has partnered with renowned goldsmiths Cooksongold to achieve this feat, seamlessly blending cutting-edge manufacturing with traditional craftsmanship. In 2022, Bentley invested £3 million to expand its Additive Manufacturing (AM) capacity at its Crewe factory, enabling the precise conversion of CAD models into tangible automotive components.

Mulliner’s Mastery in Personalization

Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke division, continues its tradition of creating some of the world’s most iconic luxury vehicles. This exclusive commissioning process offers customers limitless customization possibilities, ranging from aerospace-inspired titanium finishes to innovative leather-like textiles derived from coffee roasting by-products.

The Batur series represents a new design revolution for Bentley, following the success of its predecessors. In May 2024, Bentley revealed the Batur Convertible, a powerful W12-powered drop-top grand tourer limited to just 16 units. The convertible continues Mulliner’s legacy of creating exquisite coachbuilt cars that blend performance, design, and exclusivity.

‘With The Black Rose Batur, Bentley has once again redefined automotive luxury, fusing bespoke design with advanced technology to deliver an unforgettable motoring experience,’ a Bentley spokesperson stated.

Bentley’s latest creation highlights the power of customization, ensuring every car is as unique as the client who envisions it.
