Audi is redefining the entry-level premium electric vehicle segment with the launch of the Q4 40 e-tron, a robust addition to its Q4 e-tron lineup. Combining enhanced range, cutting-edge technology, and premium standard features, this model aims to set a new benchmark in the EV market.
Extended Range for Everyday Confidence
With a gross battery capacity of 63 kWh (59 kWh net), the Q4 40 e-tron delivers an impressive range of up to 412 kilometers (256 miles), while the Sportback variant extends that to 423 kilometers (263 miles). This extended range is designed to provide drivers with greater peace of mind, making both daily commutes and longer journeys more convenient.

The Q4 40 e-tron boasts a fast-charging capability of up to 165 kW DC, enabling a rapid charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes under optimal conditions. Additionally, a quick ten-minute charge can replenish up to 150 kilometers (93 miles), ensuring minimal downtime during trips.
Dynamic Performance Meets Practicality
Powered by a rear-axle-mounted permanently excited synchronous motor, the Q4 40 e-tron generates 150 kW (204 PS), accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.1 seconds. The vehicle achieves a top speed of 160 km/h (99 mph), combining efficiency with performance.
Practicality is further highlighted by the towing capacity of up to 1,200 kilograms (2,645 lbs) on an eight-percent incline, making it versatile for a variety of transport needs.
Smart Charging and Predictive Maintenance
Audi introduces manual battery preconditioning to optimize fast-charging performance. This feature allows drivers to manually activate battery preheating via the MMI system, ensuring optimal charging efficiency at any station.
Additionally, a predictive maintenance reminder, accessible via the myAudi app, monitors the status of key vehicle components such as brake pads and the 12-volt battery. With color-coded indicators and proactive dealer notifications, maintenance becomes more intuitive and streamlined.
Seamless Connectivity and Voice Assistance
The Q4 40 e-tron is equipped with the Audi application store, providing access to a diverse range of apps for news, entertainment, and navigation without requiring a smartphone. A 25 GB data package is included for the first year, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity.
Integrating ChatGPT through the Cerence Chat Pro platform, the vehicle’s voice assistant goes beyond conventional commands, allowing drivers to perform infotainment, navigation, and climate control functions through natural language queries. This innovation enhances safety by enabling hands-free, eyes-on-road operation.
Premium Features at an Accessible Price
Priced from 46,150 euros (INR 41.94 lakh) for the Q4 40 e-tron and 48,150 euros for the Sportback version, both models come standard with premium features such as the Audi MMI navigation plus, a 10.25-inch Audi virtual cockpit, electric tailgate, and front seat heating.
Orders for the Audi Q4 40 e-tron open in mid-February, marking a bold step forward in Audi’s commitment to electric mobility.
