Gurugram – The luxury automotive market in India witnessed a milestone year as BMW Group India achieved its highest-ever annual sales in 2024, delivering 15,721 cars across its BMW and MINI brands with a commendable 11% year-on-year growth. Its motorcycle division, BMW Motorrad, also set a new record with 8,301 units sold, marking an outstanding chapter in the company’s performance.

- BMW Cars Lead the Charge:
- BMW sold 15,012 units, a 13% increase, including a record-breaking Q4 with 4,958 units (+15%) and highest-ever December sales (2,244 units, +17%).
- The BMW 3 Series emerged as the best-selling sedan, while Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) like the BMW X1 and X5 drove growth, posting a 16% rise in deliveries.
- SAVs contributed a massive 56% of total car sales, with the BMW X5 achieving its highest annual sales at 2,056 units (+89%).
- Luxury Class Redefined:
- The flagship BMW Luxury Class (7 Series, i7, X7, XM) recorded its highest-ever deliveries at 2,507 units (+8%), underscoring its appeal to India’s elite.
- The BMW X7 maintained its dominance in the Luxury Class segment, while the BMW 7 Series solidified its position as a leader in luxury sedans.
- Electric Mobility Leadership:
- BMW retained its top spot in the luxury electric vehicle market for the third consecutive year, delivering 1,249 EVs in 2024.

- MINI recorded 709 deliveries, with the 3-Door Cooper S posting its highest-ever sales (250 units, +77%), reaffirming its niche in the premium small car segment.

- BMW’s motorcycle division delivered its highest-ever sales of fully built-up bikes (1,041 units) and achieved an annual milestone with 8,301 units, bolstered by a strong product lineup and expanding demand.
