Maruti Suzuki Ends 2024 on a High Note with Record-Breaking December Exports

New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the country’s largest automaker, wrapped up 2024 with impressive sales figures for December, underscoring its dominant position in the domestic and international markets. The company reported total sales of 178,248 units in the month, driven by strong domestic demand and its highest-ever monthly exports.

Breakdown of December 2024 Sales

  • Domestic Sales: 132,523 units
    • Entry-level models (Alto, S-Presso): 7,418 units
    • Compact cars (Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, WagonR): 54,906 units
    • Mid-size sedan (Ciaz): 464 units
    • SUVs and MPVs (Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, XL6): 55,651 units
    • Van (Eeco): 11,678 units
  • Sales to Other OEMs: 8,306 units
  • Exports: 37,419 units

The Super Carry, Maruti’s light commercial vehicle, accounted for 2,406 units.

Key Milestones

The highlight of December was Maruti Suzuki’s highest-ever monthly exports, with 37,419 units shipped to global markets. This achievement reflects the growing demand for Maruti Suzuki’s products internationally, further solidifying its reputation as a global player.

In the domestic market, the company witnessed robust demand across its SUV and MPV lineup, which recorded sales of 55,651 units, indicating the continued consumer preference for larger and versatile vehicles.
