This accomplishment underscores the model’s enduring popularity, cementing its place as a cornerstone in India’s automotive landscape.
Introduced in 2008, the Dzire has become synonymous with reliability, style, and efficiency in the sedan segment. It achieved its first million-unit milestone in 2015 and doubled that figure in just four years by 2019. Now, in December 2024, the Dzire joins the elite league of Maruti Suzuki models—alongside the Alto, Swift, and WagonR—that have reached this coveted milestone.

Beyond its dominance in India, the Dzire has made significant inroads into international markets. Since the commencement of exports in 2008, approximately 2.6 lakh units have been shipped to 48 countries across Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. In FY 2023-24, the Dzire was Maruti Suzuki’s second-most exported model, further solidifying its global footprint.
