Gurugram — Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) reported a robust performance in November 2024, with total sales of 61,252 units, marking a significant milestone. Domestic sales accounted for 48,246 units, while 13,006 units were exported, showcasing HMIL’s strong presence both locally and globally.
In a year-to-date (YTD) update, the company achieved cumulative sales of 7,09,041 units from January to November 2024, underlining its consistent growth trajectory.
SUVs continued to dominate HMIL’s domestic market, contributing a remarkable 68.8% of total domestic sales. This reinforces Hyundai’s position as a leader in the competitive SUV segment. Additionally, the company’s rural strategy bore fruit, with rural sales contributing a record 22.1% of monthly sales, underscoring Hyundai’s deepening penetration into India’s hinterlands.
The innovative Hy-CNG Duo technology also played a pivotal role in the brand’s success, with CNG variants accounting for 14.4% of total sales in November. This aligns with Hyundai’s commitment to offering eco-friendly mobility solutions and catering to a growing demand for alternative fuel vehicles.
Commenting on the performance, Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer of HMIL, said:
“HMIL’s strategic focus on SUV supremacy and rural outreach delivered stellar results in November. With SUVs making up 68.8% of domestic sales and rural contributions reaching an all-time high, we continue to strengthen our footprint across the country. Our Hy-CNG technology is also gaining traction, reflecting customer confidence in our innovative offerings.”
As 2024 draws to a close, HMIL’s impressive November performance sets a strong foundation for further growth, reinforcing its leadership in the Indian automotive market.
