JSW MG Motor India Powers Dhanteras with a Surge in Electric Vehicle Deliveries Across Delhi-NCR

New Delhi: In a landmark move for green mobility, JSW MG Motor India electrified this festive season by delivering over 100 electric vehicles (EVs) in a single day across Delhi-NCR on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras. The large-scale delivery underscores the brand’s commitment to accelerating EV adoption in India, showcasing their popular lineup of models including the MG Windsor, India’s first intelligent compact utility vehicle (CUV); the MG ZS EV, heralded as the first pure electric internet SUV in India; and the MG Comet, a compact, city-friendly model known as the “Street-Smart Car.”

The MG Windsor has recently captured attention, becoming the first passenger EV in India to secure over 15,000 bookings within a single day. This model, designed for both comfort and performance, merges sedan-like luxury with SUV capabilities, offering spacious interiors, advanced safety features, and a robust 332 km** range per charge.

The MG Comet, a compact yet spacious vehicle, offers city drivers 55+ connected features through MG’s i-Smart technology. Its “Big Inside, Compact Outside” (BICO) design allows for seamless city driving and easy parking in congested areas. Meanwhile, the MG ZS EV delivers a 461 km range, premium interior space, and over 75 connectivity features, making it an ideal choice for long-distance family journeys.

Innovative Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Model Simplifies EV Ownership

JSW MG Motor has introduced its unique Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, allowing buyers to opt for EVs without the full cost of the battery. This flexible plan helps reduce upfront costs by offering battery rentals based on usage, making EV ownership more economical and accessible. Under the BaaS program, the MG Windsor starts at ₹9.99 lakh with a rental fee of ₹3.5/km, the MG Comet EV at ₹4.99 lakh with a rental fee of ₹2.5/km, and the MG ZS EV at ₹13.99 lakh with a rental fee of ₹4.5/km.

Comprehensive Charging Network and eHUB by MG App Drives EV Ecosystem

Complementing these EV innovations, JSW MG Motor India has also rolled out the eHUB by MG app, India’s first and largest integrated charging platform by an OEM, streamlining the charging experience for EV owners nationwide. The app boasts over 22,000 downloads, supporting drivers in locating and reserving charging points, starting charging sessions, and managing payments with ease. Covering approximately 80% of the national charging network in partnership with 28 major charge-point operators, the app has facilitated over 40,000 EV trips and helped users collectively log nearly 25 million green kilometers.

As India transitions to a more sustainable future, JSW MG Motor’s initiatives this festive season reflect a commitment to building an accessible EV ecosystem, making green mobility more attainable and convenient for all.
