Dehradun – In a significant move towards sustainable public transport, EKA Mobility, a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries, has joined hands with Skyline Motors to introduce electric buses on Uttarakhand’s key intercity routes. This landmark initiative marks EKA Mobility’s first-ever intercity deployment, showcasing its commitment to green mobility solutions.
The collaboration has rolled out EKA 9 electric buses along the Dehradun-Rishikesh route, passing through Haridwar. These buses will cover an extensive 300 kilometers daily, providing an efficient, eco-conscious alternative to traditional diesel-powered transport. The move aligns with Uttarakhand’s ambition to lower carbon emissions and enhance the commuting experience for locals and tourists alike.

The advanced 9-meter EKA 9 buses come equipped with cutting-edge safety and comfort features. With a 200 kW battery, the buses boast an impressive range and energy efficiency. Each bus accommodates 35+1 passengers and operates with a low floor height of 900 mm, ensuring comfort and accessibility for all.
