Kia Motors has officially announced UK pricing and specifications for the latest version of its award-winning electric crossover, the EV6. As of September 2, 2024, order books are open, with deliveries expected to begin in the third quarter of this year.
The refreshed Kia EV6 continues to be offered in three familiar grades: ‘Air’, ‘GT-Line’, and ‘GT-Line S’. Each variant is equipped with a larger 84.0kWh long-range battery, capable of impressive mileage and faster charging than its predecessor.
Pricing Breakdown:
- EV6 ‘Air’: Starting at £45,575, this entry-level model offers up to 361 miles of range.
- EV6 ‘GT-Line’: Priced from £48,575, with the same 361 miles of range in RWD, while AWD models start at £52,075.
- EV6 ‘GT-Line S’: Starting at £53,675 (INR 59.16 lakh), with up to 347 miles of range.
The EV6 offers both single motor, rear-wheel drive (RWD) and dual motor, all-wheel drive (AWD) options, depending on the trim. The AWD models, powered by 320bhp and 605Nm of torque, offer remarkable power without sacrificing too much range.
Charging and Technology Upgrades:
Thanks to advanced 800V charging technology, the EV6 can now charge from 10-80% in just 18 minutes. With peak charging at 258kW, an 8% increase from previous models, a quick 15-minute charge can deliver up to 343km of range.
Standard Features:
Every EV6 comes loaded with features, from automatic air conditioning, LED lighting, and wireless smartphone integration, to advanced safety systems like lane assist, regenerative braking, and collision avoidance. Higher trims introduce premium upgrades, including a sunroof, 20-inch alloy wheels, and an immersive Meridian sound system.
What’s Next?
The all-electric Kia EV6 is part of the brand’s ambitious ‘Plan S’, which aims to launch 15 EVs by 2027, with nine destined for the UK market. The high-performance EV6 GT model is set to arrive in early 2025, promising even greater driving thrills.
With the new EV6, Kia continues to raise the bar in electric vehicle innovation, offering UK customers the perfect blend of cutting-edge technology, performance, and range at competitive prices.
