Monaco, 4th September 2024 — Formula 1 legend and two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso has officially received the keys to his highly anticipated Aston Martin Valkyrie, a road-legal hypercar designed to bring the thrill of F1 to the streets. Delivered at the iconic Monte Carlo Bay Hotel, Alonso’s Valkyrie boasts a bespoke design that draws heavily from his AMR24 Formula 1 car, seamlessly blending cutting-edge technology with personal flair.
Alonso’s Valkyrie, meticulously crafted in collaboration with Aston Martin’s customisation service, Q by Aston Martin, features an eye-catching Satin Aston Martin Racing Green exterior, accented by AMR Satin Lime Graphics. Drawing further inspiration from Formula 1, the hypercar’s aerodynamic lines are highlighted with bespoke Speed Red and Blue graphics, while exposed carbon fibre elements add a striking contrast to the sleek design. A distinctive titanium Aston Martin badge adorns the nose, adding an extra touch of refinement.
The attention to detail extends into the cabin, where Alonso’s personal logo is embroidered into the headrests using AMR Lime thread, complementing the Pure Black Alcantara and exposed carbon fibre throughout. A hidden gem—an anodised red aluminium accelerator pedal etched with Alonso’s iconic number 14—serves as a tribute to the number he’s proudly worn since his karting days.
Speaking on the occasion, Alonso expressed his excitement: “It’s surreal to finally have my own Valkyrie, especially one that I’ve played such a big role in designing. This hypercar brings Formula 1 technology to the road, and it’s a privilege to have been part of its journey. I can’t wait to take it out for a proper drive.”
Under the hood, the Aston Martin Valkyrie packs an exhilarating hybrid V12 engine capable of producing 1,155PS, propelling the car from 0-60mph in under 2.5 seconds. Borrowing heavily from Formula 1 engineering, the Valkyrie’s performance capabilities deliver a driving experience that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible on the road.
As one of only 150 models in existence, the Valkyrie is hand-built by Aston Martin’s expert technicians at their UK headquarters in Gaydon. Each car undergoes over 2,000 hours of meticulous craftsmanship and is track-tested at Silverstone to ensure maximum performance before delivery.
With the Aston Martin Valkyrie, Alonso now possesses more than just a hypercar—he has a piece of engineering history designed to bring the exhilaration of Formula 1 to the streets of Monaco.
