In a stunning tribute to the iconic 911 Turbo, Porsche has launched a limited-edition sneaker collection to commemorate the model’s 50th anniversary. Partnering with renowned sportswear brand Puma, the exclusive series features twelve unique sneaker designs, each limited to just 911 pairs.
Among the collection, two standout models—“Turbo No. 1” and “Turbo 930”—draw inspiration from historical Porsche vehicles. The “Turbo No. 1” sneaker pays homage to the legendary car gifted to Louise Piëch on her 70th birthday, showcasing a sleek metallic silver design. Inside, the sneaker features the striking red and blue tartan pattern found in the original 911 Turbo’s interior, blending elegance with heritage.
Meanwhile, the “Turbo 930” sneaker, presented in a rich Oak Green Metallic, recalls Dr. Ferry Porsche’s Turbo from 1976. Its interior is adorned with a green tartan pattern, mirroring the aesthetic of the classic vehicle. Both models prioritize comfort, utilizing high-quality full-grain and nubuck leather.
Key design elements include dynamic vintage turbo lettering and a subtle Porsche logo. Sneaker enthusiasts will appreciate the unique heel design, reminiscent of the “whale fin” rear spoiler, complete with horizontal red tail light details. A 3D-printed Porsche Crest adorns the heel, and a removable plaque celebrating the 50th anniversary adds a special touch.
In addition to the two flagship models, ten exclusive market editions will be launched, each reflecting a distinct Porsche 911 Turbo from various global markets, including Germany, Japan, and the U.S. Each edition will be limited to 911 pairs and feature exterior colors sourced from Porsche’s original color palette used between 1975 and 1977.
The 50th anniversary Porsche 911 Turbo sneaker editions will be available starting August 29, 2024, at 9:11 a.m. (CEST), priced at €169 (INR 15,860). Purchasers will also receive an extra set of black laces for customization, packaged in a stylish black Porsche Puma sports bag with a zipper and adjustable shoulder strap, further enhancing the exclusivity of this collection.
