CNH India Celebrates Milestone: 700,000 Tractors Produced at Greater Noida Plant

Greater Noida, July 22, 2024 — CNH Industrial, a global powerhouse in agricultural machinery, proudly marks the production of its 700,000th tractor at the Greater Noida manufacturing site. This facility, a key player in the production of New Holland and Case IH brands, manufactures approximately 2,000 tractor variants ranging from 35 to 120 horsepower.

During his recent visit to India, CNH’s new CEO, Gerrit Marx, attended the milestone celebration, underscoring the company’s steadfast commitment to the Indian market and its continued expansion.

Since its inception in 1999, the Greater Noida plant has significantly scaled its operations, now producing 60,000 tractors annually. This state-of-the-art facility not only caters to the domestic market but also exports to over 75 countries spanning Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and North America. The plant’s production extends beyond tractors to include engines, Power Take Offs (PTOs), and axles.

Narinder Mittal, Country Manager & Managing Director, CNH India & SAARC, expressed his delight, “Celebrating the production of 700,000 tractors with our CEO and the India team highlights our commitment to ‘Made in India’ and the advancement of agricultural development in the country. This achievement is a testament to our team’s hard work and the trust our customers place in our products. India plays a crucial role on the global stage, offering vast opportunities and scale. Our focus on technology and innovation will continue to propel our success.”

The Greater Noida plant, spread over 60 acres, is one of India’s most advanced tractor manufacturing sites, employing around 1,200 people. The facility emphasizes sustainability with solar panels on its roof and an afforestation project using the Miyawaki Method, which involves densely planting a variety of native woodland species.

CNH India operates through its Case IH, New Holland, and CASE Construction Equipment brands, delivering world-class products from its ‘Made in India’ operations for over 25 years. In 2018, the company introduced CNH Capital India to provide comprehensive financing solutions across its product portfolio.
