Hyundai USA Unveils Pricing and Enhancements for the 2025 Tucson: A Blend of Style, Technology, and Power

Fountain Valley, Calif., July 18, 2024 – Hyundai has announced the pricing for its significantly refreshed 2025 Tucson SUV, starting at $29,750 (INR 24.90 lakh), which includes a $1,395 destination charge. This latest iteration of Hyundai’s best-selling vehicle boasts a comprehensive redesign, improved technology, and advanced safety features, maintaining its appeal in the competitive compact SUV market.

A Bold New Look

The 2025 Tucson embraces Hyundai’s Sensuous Sportiness design language with a more assertive front fascia, updated lighting signatures, and new alloy wheel designs. These exterior changes are matched by an equally dramatic transformation inside, offering a more spacious and technologically advanced cabin.

Enhanced Interior and Infotainment

Inside, the Tucson features a redesigned panoramic curved display integrating a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The center stack now includes additional knobs and controls for frequently used functions such as audio volume and HVAC, enhancing ergonomics and usability. Other notable interior updates include a new dashboard tray above the glovebox, redesigned center console, and fresh door-panel accents.

Powertrain Options

The 2025 Tucson offers a variety of powertrain choices to suit different driving preferences:

  • 2.5L Gasoline Engine: The base model comes with a Smartstream 2.5-liter direct- and multi-port-injected gasoline engine, producing 187 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission for a responsive and efficient driving experience.
  • Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid: Both hybrid variants feature a 1.6-liter turbocharged direct-injected engine. The hybrid version generates a combined output of 231 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, thanks to a 47.7-kW electric motor and a 1.49-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The plug-in hybrid offers even more power, with a 72.0-kW electric motor and a 13.8-kWh battery, delivering a total system output of 268 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque.

Advanced Features

The 2025 Tucson introduces several innovative features aimed at improving safety and convenience:

  • Baby Mode: This new driver-selectable mode softens initial acceleration to provide a smoother ride, minimizing disturbances for infants and pets.
  • HTRAC All-Wheel Drive: Standard on hybrid and plug-in hybrid models, this system offers selectable modes including Normal, Sport, Snow, and the new My Drive mode for customizable driving experiences.

Availability

The 2025 Tucson 2.5L models are set to arrive at U.S. dealerships in July, with the hybrid and plug-in hybrid models following in late summer. With its combination of sleek design, advanced technology, and a range of powertrain options, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson is poised to continue its success in the compact SUV segment.
