The company achieved a total sales volume of 64,803 units, with domestic sales accounting for 50,103 units and exports contributing 14,700 units. This brings the cumulative sales for the first half of 2024 to an impressive 3,85,772 units, reflecting a 5.68% year-on-year growth.

Tarun Garg, COO of HMIL, expressed his satisfaction with the company’s performance, stating, “We closed the first half of CY2024 with an overall sales growth of 5.68% year-on-year. This achievement underscores the strong demand for our vehicles, particularly our SUVs, which have been a significant contributor to our domestic sales.”

The SUV segment continues to be a cornerstone of HMIL’s market strategy, accounting for 66% of domestic sales in the first half of 2024. This trend highlights the growing preference for SUVs among Indian consumers. The new Hyundai CRETA has emerged as a standout performer, driving domestic sales with 91,348 units sold, representing an 11% increase over the same period last year.

Hyundai’s consistent performance in the domestic market is complemented by its strong export figures, showcasing the brand’s global appeal and robust supply chain capabilities. The export of 14,700 units in June alone demonstrates HMIL’s commitment to meeting international demand and strengthening its presence in global markets.

The success of the Hyundai creta, alongside other models in the SUV lineup, illustrates HMIL’s strategic focus on innovation and customer satisfaction. The company’s ability to adapt to market trends and consumer preferences has been pivotal in achieving these milestones.

Looking ahead, HMIL aims to sustain its growth trajectory by continuing to enhance its product offerings and expanding its footprint in both domestic and international markets. The positive sales figures for the first half of 2024 set a strong foundation for the remainder of the year, positioning Hyundai Motor India Limited for continued success and market leadership.

In conclusion, HMIL’s achievement of 64,803 units sold in June 2024, coupled with a notable 5.68% year-on-year growth in the first half of the year, underscores the company’s resilience and strategic acumen.
