Fiat 500e Becomes One of the Most Affordable Electric Vehicles on the Market

In a significant move aimed at making electric mobility more accessible, Fiat has slashed prices on its popular Fiat 500e, now starting at £21,995 (INR 23.19 lakh). This new pricing, which includes the Fiat E-Grant of £3,000, marks a proactive step by Fiat to encourage drivers to embrace electric vehicles (EVs). The initiative comes exactly a year after the introduction of the Fiat E-Grant, designed to offset the initial cost barrier of switching to electric.

The Fiat E-Grant remains a pivotal part of Fiat’s strategy, providing an additional £3,200 discount on the Fiat 500e and Fiat 500e convertible models. This reduction underscores Fiat’s commitment to fostering affordable electric mobility solutions, aligning with broader industry trends towards sustainability and emission reduction.

New enhancements for the model year 24 Fiat 500e include the introduction of two striking new colors: Acid Green and Celestial Blue, enhancing the vehicle’s appeal with more customization options for prospective buyers.

Damien Dally, Managing Director of Fiat UK, emphasized the brand’s dedication to inclusivity in electric mobility, stating, “At Fiat, we believe in electric for all. It’s essential that we continue to make electric vehicles more accessible and affordable for people across the UK.” Dally further expressed Fiat’s pride in offering one of the most cost-effective electric vehicles currently available, encouraging more drivers to experience the distinctive Fiat 500e and its promise of La Dolce Vita on the road.

In a pioneering move last June, Fiat introduced its own electric car grant, filling a gap left by the government’s removal of financial incentives for retail customers transitioning to electric vehicles. Initially applicable to the Fiat 500e and 500e convertible, the Fiat E-Grant has since expanded to include the newly launched family-focused 600e and Abarth 500e models.

The Fiat 500e for model year 24 offers versatility with two versions—hatchback and convertible—and a choice of two battery sizes: 24 kWh and 42 kWh. This selection allows for ranges up to 199 miles (WLTP combined), catering to various driving needs and preferences.

Available in three distinct configurations—the well-equipped 500e, the special edition 500e (RED) developed in collaboration with (RED), and the premium 500e La Prima—the Fiat 500e lineup offers features like alloy wheels, advanced infotainment systems, premium audio by JBL, and level 2 Autonomous Driving technologies, enhancing both comfort and driving experience.

With these updates and competitive pricing, Fiat is poised to strengthen its position in the electric vehicle market, appealing to a broader audience seeking affordable, sustainable transportation options.

Fiat 500e pricing (including Fiat E-Grant of £3,000):

  • £21,995 OTR Fiat 500e with a 24 kWh battery, 70 kW / 90 hp motor, and a range of 118 miles (WLTP combined).
  • £24,995 OTR Fiat 500e with a 42 kWh battery, 87 kW / 118 hp motor, and an extended range of 199 miles (WLTP combined).

The Fiat 500e is available as both a Hatch and Convertible, offering versatility and style in equal measure.
