Mumbai, 10 June 2024 — In a significant stride towards sustainable urban mobility, Citroën, the esteemed French car manufacturer, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CAB-EEZ Infra Tech Pvt. Limited (Cab-E). This landmark agreement aims to introduce over 2000 Citroën ë-C3 electric vehicles (EVs) into Cab-E’s fleet across the Mumbai and Pune regions within the year.

Building on the momentum of the collaboration, an initial batch of 100 Citroën ë-C3 units was ceremoniously flagged off in Mumbai. The event was graced by Ashwani Muppasani, COO of Stellantis India-Asia Pacific Region, Shishir Mishra, Brand Director of Citroën India, and Kuldip Ghosh and Indraneel Chakravarty, Directors of Cab-E. With these new additions, Cab-E’s fleet now boasts over 300 Citroën ë-C3 units, reinforcing the partnership’s commitment to advancing eco-friendly urban transportation.

Shishir Mishra, Brand Director of Citroën India, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Cab-E has been one of the early adopters of the ë-C3. Their continued choice of this product is a validation of Citroën’s proposition as a key player in promoting sustainable transportation solutions. With its efficient battery pack, advanced e-powertrain, and comprehensive connectivity features, the Citroën ë-C3 is the ideal choice for businesses transitioning to greener mobility options.”

Kuldip Ghosh, Director (CEO) of Cab-E, shared his insights on the collaboration’s impact, commenting, “The integration of Citroën ë-C3 EVs into our fleet accelerates our path to profitability. The superior battery efficiency, powerful drivetrain, and excellent in-cabin features, combined with rapid charging capabilities, ensure immediate operational benefits. This partnership not only benefits both stakeholders but also propels Cab-E to a leadership position in the electric urban mobility market.”

The Citroën ë-C3, a top choice in India’s e-mobility sector, boasts an impressive range of 320 kilometers (ARAI-certified) and features advanced fast charging technology, achieving nearly a full charge in under an hour. Its spacious interior and substantial cargo capacity cater to diverse logistical needs, providing efficient and eco-friendly transport solutions for businesses.
