Mahindra Auto Records Stellar Growth in May 2024

Mumbai, June 01, 2024: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), one of India’s foremost automotive companies, has reported impressive growth in its auto sales for May 2024. The company’s total sales for the month reached 71,682 vehicles, marking a 17% increase compared to the previous year.

In the Utility Vehicles (UV) segment, Mahindra achieved remarkable success, selling 43,218 vehicles in the domestic market, reflecting a significant 31% growth. Including exports, the total UV sales amounted to 44,283 vehicles. The domestic sales for Commercial Vehicles (CV) stood at 19,826 units.

Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd., expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We sold a total of 43,218 SUVs in May, a growth of 31%, and 71,682 total vehicles, a 17% growth over last year. As we opened bookings on 15th May, we were delighted to receive an overwhelming response for the XUV3XO. Within the first hour of opening bookings, we hit the 50,000 mark. The belief that our customers have shown in us reiterates the strong disruptive proposition of XUV3XO. We have started deliveries from 26th May.”

Mahindra’s robust performance in May underscores its strong market presence and the growing popularity of its SUV models, particularly the XUV3XO.
