Bentley Unveils the Revolutionary Fourth-Generation Continental GT

Iconic Luxury Meets Cutting-Edge Sustainability and Performance

Crewe, 16 May 2024 – The highly anticipated fourth-generation Bentley Continental GT is set to be revealed in June, showcasing a groundbreaking blend of performance, sustainability, and luxury. This new iteration will be the first Bentley to feature the Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, marking a significant leap forward in the company’s storied history.

The new Continental GT boasts an impressive 782 PS and 1000 Nm of torque, delivered by a state-of-the-art V8 engine paired with an electric motor. With an electric-only range of 50 miles (80 km) and a remarkably low WLTP CO2 figure of under 50 g/km, this model represents Bentley’s commitment to sustainable automotive excellence.

This latest generation promises unparalleled driving dynamics, thanks to advanced chassis technology that includes active all-wheel drive with torque vectoring, four-wheel steering, an electronic limited-slip differential, 48V electric active anti-roll control, and innovative dual-valve dampers. These features ensure that the new Continental GT will not only be the most powerful Bentley road car to date but also the most dynamically capable.

Bentley’s tradition of handcrafted luxury is preserved in this new model, which incorporates cutting-edge technology and design. Originally launched in 2002, the Continental GT has been a cornerstone of Bentley’s revival, transforming the brand and setting new standards in the luxury grand tourer market. Inspired by the 1952 R Type Continental, the modern GT has consistently pushed the boundaries of performance and design.

The impact of the Continental GT over the past two decades has been profound, driving Bentley’s sales from 1,000 to over 10,000 units annually within four years of its debut. The second-generation model, introduced in 2010, and the third generation in 2018, each brought significant advancements, solidifying the Continental GT’s status as a benchmark in its class.

As Bentley approaches the production of the 100,000th Continental GT, this new model is poised to continue the legacy of excellence. The handcrafted luxury and performance of the Continental GT have made it Bentley’s second most popular model worldwide, trailing only the Bentayga.

The unveiling of the fourth-generation Continental GT marks a new chapter in Bentley’s 105-year history, blending the heritage of handcrafted luxury with the future of sustainable, high-performance driving.
