Porsche has officially launched the third generation of the Panamera, blending increased efficiency, luxury, and a more assertive digital presence. Priced starting at INR 1,69,62,000, this latest iteration of the sporting luxury sedan showcases a revamped exterior design that accentuates its width and a newly conceptualized Porsche Driver Experience featuring a fully digital cockpit.
From its inception in India, the Porsche Panamera has been the epitome of a luxury sports sedan. The third-generation model emphasizes this with stronger drive systems and an innovative profile that includes a modernized operating concept filled with state-of-the-art technology. The redesigned interior focuses on the driver, enhancing the interaction with the vehicle and elevating the overall driving experience.
A key upgrade in the new Panamera is its suspension system. It comes equipped with a standard dual-chamber two-valve air suspension integrated with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). This technology differentiates the rebound and compression stages, offering a balanced performance spectrum from ultimate comfort to sporty agility. It efficiently absorbs impacts while maintaining stability during dynamic driving scenarios.
Under the hood, the vehicle sports a modified 2.9-litre V6 turbo engine, now delivering 260 kW (353 PS) and 500 Nm of torque, marking an improvement from its predecessor. These enhancements reduce the 0 to 100 km/h sprint to just 5.1 seconds and increase the top speed to 272 km/h.
The exterior retains the iconic Panamera lines but introduces a more dynamic appearance. Notable changes include an additional air intake and a redesigned window line that emphasizes the sedan’s sporty aesthetics. At the rear, the windows seamlessly align with the body contours, contributing to the car’s streamlined look.
Inside, the Porsche Driver Experience introduces an optimal mix of digital and analog controls strategically placed along the driver’s axis for easy access without diverting their focus from the road. An optional passenger display integrates other occupants into the driving dynamics by showing performance data and offering infotainment system control, all without distracting the driver.
Additionally, the new Panamera is equipped with standard Matrix LED headlights, with an optional high-resolution HD Matrix LED system available that enhances visibility up to 600 meters with features like dedicated lane brightening.
Porsche confirms that deliveries of the new Panamera have begun, with the sedan boasting improved standard equipment over its predecessor. The vehicle continues to be produced at Porsche’s Leipzig factory, a site synonymous with Panamera since its first generation.
As Porsche ushers in this new era of the Panamera, it remains committed to delivering an unparalleled blend of luxury, performance, and technological sophistication, setting new benchmarks in the sports sedan category.
