Chennai, April 23rd, 2024 – In a move that aligns with the market’s economic pressures, Stellantis India has announced a modest price hike of 0.5% for its Citroën and Jeep brands, effective from April 30th, 2024. Customers can expect to see an increase ranging from INR 4,000 to INR 17,000 across various models.
This price adjustment encompasses all models under the Citroën brand, along with the Compass and Meridian models of the Jeep brand. The company cites escalating input costs and operational expenses as the primary drivers for this decision.
In a statement released today, Stellantis India emphasized its commitment to maintaining the quality and innovation of its vehicles despite the financial adjustments. “The modest price increment is a strategic response to the ongoing rises in production and operational costs. It ensures that we can continue offering our customers high-quality, innovative vehicles while sustaining the competitiveness and sustainability of our operations,” the company stated.
As the automotive industry continues to grapple with fluctuating economic conditions globally, Stellantis India’s proactive price revision reflects a common trend of adjusting sales strategies to maintain market stability and quality standards.
