Dream Wheels of Tomorrow: Toyota India Unveils 18th Dream Car Art Contest for Young Creatives

Bangalore – Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the 18th edition of its celebrated Toyota Dream Car Art Contest (TDCAC), a global initiative designed to encourage young minds to envision the future of mobility through the power of art. This unique competition, running from January 6 to January 31, 2025, invites children across India to showcase their creativity and innovative ideas by drawing their dream cars.

About the Contest

The TDCAC consists of two levels: the National Contest and the Global Contest. The competition is divided into three age categories:

  • Category 1: 7 years old or under
  • Category 2: 8–11 years old
  • Category 3: 12–15 years old

From these categories, nine top artworks will be selected to represent India in the Global Contest, scheduled after April 2025. Each winner will receive a framed certificate and digital gift vouchers, while 18 finalists will also be recognized with digital certificates and vouchers.

The contest theme, “Your Dream Car,” encourages children to push the boundaries of imagination and create vehicles that reflect their vision of a better, more sustainable future.

Toyota’s Commitment to Creativity and Innovation

Speaking at the announcement, Mr. Varinder Kumar Wadhwa, Vice President of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, shared:

“At Toyota Kirloskar Motor, we take pride in nurturing young talent and fostering creativity among children. The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is more than an art competition—it’s a platform that empowers young minds to dream big and envision a future fueled by innovation.”

Celebrating Past Achievements

Over the years, the contest has drawn remarkable participation from India. In 2024, during the 17th edition, Ms. Peruri Lakshmi Sahasra from Visakhapatnam achieved global recognition, earning the Best Finalist Award in the 12–15 age category. Her achievement not only highlighted the talent of Indian youth but also inspired future participants to dream without limits.

A Global Platform for Young Dreamers

Launched in 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is a global initiative that bridges creativity and innovation, inviting children from across the world to reimagine the possibilities of tomorrow’s mobility. National winners from participating countries compete in Japan’s prestigious World Contest, offering a unique opportunity to showcase talent on an international stage.
