New Delhi — Kia India, a rapidly rising star in the nation’s automotive industry, is driving change with the launch of a pioneering Scrappage Incentive Program aimed at fostering sustainable mobility. This initiative underscores Kia’s commitment to environmental responsibility while encouraging consumers to make eco-conscious decisions.
Through the program, Kia India offers customers the opportunity to scrap their old vehicles—irrespective of brand or model—and receive attractive incentives toward purchasing a new Kia vehicle. By integrating this scheme across its entire lineup, Kia is making it easier for Indian customers to upgrade to advanced, cleaner automotive technology.
Under the initiative, customers can benefit from incentives equivalent to 1.5% of the ex-showroom price (or ₹20,000, whichever is lower) on any Kia model. To qualify, customers must provide a certificate of deposit for the scrapped vehicle, ensuring proper recycling and disposal of end-of-life cars.
Speaking about the initiative, Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at Kia India, said, “At Kia, we are steadfast in our commitment to sustainable mobility solutions. This Scrappage Incentive Program reflects our dedication to enabling customers to choose environmentally responsible options while adhering to government directives on vehicle recycling. We’re proud to contribute to a greener future by making sustainable mobility more accessible and rewarding.”
The program not only aligns with India’s push for vehicle scrappage as a means to reduce pollution but also strengthens Kia’s role as an advocate for eco-friendly practices within the automotive sector.
As India takes strides toward a greener tomorrow, Kia India’s Scrappage Incentive Program stands as a testament to the company’s vision of blending innovation, sustainability, and consumer-centricity. With this bold move, Kia continues to pave the road toward a cleaner, more sustainable future for Indian roads.
