Toyota India Surges with 14% Sales Growth in September 2024, Sets New Fiscal Record

Bangalore, October 1, 2024: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) continues its impressive market performance, reporting a 14% year-on-year increase in wholesale sales for September 2024. With 26,847 units sold last month, TKM’s growth trajectory shows no signs of slowing, as domestic sales reached 23,802 units, while exports accounted for 3,045 units. In contrast, September 2023 saw 23,590 units sold, highlighting the company’s significant upward momentum.

The standout statistic is TKM’s record-breaking performance in the first half of the 2024-2025 fiscal year. TKM sold 1,62,623 vehicles in the last six months, the company’s highest-ever sales figure for this period. This marks a substantial leap from the 1,23,939 units sold during the same period in the previous fiscal year.

Sustained Growth Through Strategy and Innovation

Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, credited the company’s success to its dynamic approach to market demands. “As the festive season kicks off, we’re seeing a surge in customer footfalls and inquiries. Our SUV, MPV, and small car segments have led the charge, contributing over 90% to our sales in September,” Manohar said.

The company’s ability to meet increasing demand has been bolstered by operational enhancements, such as the addition of a third production shift. This strategic move has streamlined the supply chain and reduced waiting periods for high-demand models.

Customer-Centric Innovations Fuel Growth

TKM’s commitment to customer satisfaction has also played a key role in its recent success. The launch of the “555 Plus” program offers extended warranties, complimentary service, roadside assistance, and attractive exchange deals, making the ownership experience more rewarding. Other initiatives, such as the “TCare” program, have consolidated value-added services into a single, convenient package, enhancing the post-sale experience for customers.

With over 1,045 touchpoints across India and a diverse product range catering to various mobility needs, Toyota Kirloskar Motor is well-positioned to sustain its growth throughout the festive season and beyond.
