Bengaluru, 24 May 2024: In a remarkable testament to their skills and dedication, students from the Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) excelled at the IndiaSkills Competition 2024, organized by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The event, which supports the “Skill India Mission” and “Viksit Bharat 2047,” witnessed TTTI students winning multiple awards across various categories.
Gold Medals Galore
Prem V clinched a gold medal in Additive Manufacturing as an individual competitor. The Manufacturing Team Challenge saw a stellar performance from Mohit M U, Harish R, and Nelson V, who secured gold medals as a team. In the Mechatronics category, Darshan Gowda C S and Bhanu Prasad S M also bagged gold, while Hemanth K Y and Uday Kumar B earned silver. Additionally, Rohan A S won a silver medal in Car Painting, and Sudeep S M received the Medallion of Excellence in the same category.
A Platform for Young Talent
The IndiaSkills Competition, held biennially, serves as a platform for young talents to showcase their skills at regional and national levels. TTTI, in collaboration with NSDC, plays a significant role in fostering skill development among the youth, aligning with the vision of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
Off-Site Competitions Hosted by TTTI
TTTI participated and hosted four categories of the “Off-site” portion of the competition at YashoBhoomi Dwarka, New Delhi. The categories included Manufacturing Team Challenge, Mechatronics, Car Painting, and Additive Manufacturing. The students demonstrated exemplary skills and dedication, bringing honor to their institute and the nation. TTTI ensured the smooth conduct of the competition by providing support in venue, infrastructure, machinery, consumables, and jury.

Ms. Monika Nanda, General Manager, Marketing and Communications, NSDC, congratulated the TTTI students for their remarkable achievements. “Their skills and dedication are a testament to the effectiveness of TTTI’s training programs. These winners not only bring honor to their institute but also enhance the reputation of Indian skill development globally,” she said. She expressed confidence that the selected students would continue to excel at the WorldSkills Competition.

Looking Ahead
TTTI is proud to announce that the top contestants from the IndiaSkills Competition will represent India at the prestigious WorldSkills Competition in Lyon, France, scheduled from 10th to 15th September 2024. This global platform, initiated in 1950, showcases skills excellence and development through international cooperation.
Since its inception in 2007, TTTI has been committed to providing advanced technical education and fostering overall development among rural youth. The institute’s initiatives, such as ‘Toyota Kaushalya,’ promote the admission of female students and offer unique opportunities for youth to acquire skills relevant to the manufacturing industry. TTTI’s graduates often receive further training in Japan, gaining hands-on experience in a global environment.
