Honda Elevate Gets Major Update With Bolder Styling, Premium Cabin and Low-Speed Follow, Starts at INR 11.80 lakh

New Delhi: Honda Cars India Ltd. has unveiled the New Honda Elevate, giving its mid-size SUV a substantial update with revised exterior styling, a more premium cabin, additional convenience features and an expanded Honda Sensing driver-assistance package.

India is the first market globally to receive the New Elevate, according to Honda Cars India. The company said the SUV is the third of six key launches planned for the current financial year and is expected to contribute to its sales momentum during the festive season.

The mechanical formula remains familiar. The New Elevate continues to use Honda’s 1.5-litre i-VTEC DOHC petrol engine, offered with either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT with seven-speed paddle shifts.

New Face, Connected Tail Lamps

The most visible changes are on the outside.

Honda has redesigned the front fascia with a new Bold Mesh Grille, gloss-black upper grille moulding and lower front garnish, along with a repositioned Honda “H Mark”. New Tri-Bar Signature LED position lights give the front a more distinctive appearance.

Gloss-black treatment also extends to the lower front garnish, side and fender garnishes and rear lower bumper garnish.

The SUV receives new 17-inch dual-tone milling alloy wheels finished in Berlina Black and Dark Clear, while the rear now features a full-width Connected Signature LED Tail Lamp.

It is a more elaborate lighting signature than before — apparently even sensible family SUVs are no longer immune to the industry-wide enthusiasm for connecting one tail lamp to the other.

The Elevate retains its existing proportions, measuring 4,312 mm long, 1,790 mm wide and 1,650 mm high. The wheelbase remains 2,650 mm, while ground clearance stands at 220 mm.

Nordic Forest Pearl Joins Colour Palette

Honda has introduced a new Nordic Forest Pearl paint option, available both as a single-tone finish and with a Crystal Black Pearl roof in dual-tone form.

The New Elevate will be offered in seven exterior colours: Nordic Forest Pearl, Obsidian Blue Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Grey Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.

Radiant Red Metallic and Platinum White Pearl will also be available with dual-tone configurations.

Ventilated Seats Reach Both Rows

Inside, Honda has made more extensive changes.

The New Elevate receives a dual-tone Ivory-Black cabin with soft-touch finishes, piano-black elements and wrap-around ambient lighting in Active Orange.

Honda has also added premium leather upholstery and, notably, ventilation for both the front and rear seats.

The driver gets an eight-way electrically adjustable seat, while the front passenger seat offers four-way electric adjustment.

Other cabin additions include an illuminated passenger-side vanity mirror, electrostatic-touch LED cabin lights, new interior decorative garnishes and USB Type-C charging ports for both front and rear passengers.

A one-touch electric sunroof continues to be part of the equipment package.

360-Degree Camera and Air-Quality Display Added

Technology upgrades include a 360-degree Surround Vision Camera with multiple viewing modes, along with front and rear parking sensors.

The instrument cluster combines analogue displays with a 7-inch HD full-colour TFT multi-information screen. It can display information including fuel consumption, trip data, outside temperature and a G-Meter, while also allowing customisation of vehicle and Honda Sensing settings.

A 10.25-inch floating IPS HD touchscreen handles infotainment duties and supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, WebLink, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

The display can also show the 360-degree camera, multi-angle rear-view camera and Honda LaneWatch feed.

An eight-speaker audio system comprising four speakers and four tweeters is included, while a PM2.5 air-quality display with an Auto Clean Air Function has also been added.

1.5-Litre Petrol Engine Continues

Under the bonnet, Honda has retained the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre i-VTEC DOHC petrol engine.

It produces 89 kW, or 121 PS, at 6,600 rpm and develops 145 Nm of peak torque at 4,300 rpm.

Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual gearbox and a CVT with seven-speed paddle-shift functionality.

Honda claims fuel efficiency of 15.31 km/l for the manual version and 16.61 km/l for the CVT.

Honda Sensing Gets Low-Speed Follow

The New Elevate continues with Honda Sensing, the company’s camera-based advanced driver-assistance suite.

Its functions include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Departure Mitigation System, Lane Keeping Assist System, Lead Car Departure Notification System and Auto High-Beam.

Honda has now added Low-Speed Follow on CVT variants, allowing the adaptive cruise-control system to provide additional assistance in slow-moving traffic.

The wider safety package includes six airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist with Agile Handling Assist, Hill Start Assist, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, an electric parking brake with Auto Brake Hold, ISOFIX-compatible rear seats and Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure.

CVT versions also receive all-wheel disc brakes.

Other equipment includes auto headlamps, Emergency Stop Signal, an immobiliser with anti-theft alarm, a multi-angle rear camera and the new 360-degree camera system.

Five Manual, Four CVT Grades

Honda will offer the New Elevate in five manual-transmission grades — SV, V, VX, ZX and ZX+.

CVT versions will be available in V, VX, ZX and ZX+ grades.

The company has not detailed pricing in the unveiling announcement.

India Is First Market for Updated Elevate

Commenting on the unveiling, Toshiyuki Yanagisawa, President and CEO of Honda Cars India Ltd., said:

“The Honda Elevate has established a strong connection with customers through its confident design, versatility and enjoyable driving experience. With the New Elevate, we are taking this character forward with a much bolder expression and significant enhancements across design, comfort, technology and convenience. Being the lead market for its sales, India is the first country to launch the New Elevate globally. Its bolder, more rugged styling and enhanced premium features are designed to meet the evolving aspirations of today’s SUV buyers.”

“This is the third of our six key launches planned for this financial year. We expect the New Elevate to play a key role in driving our momentum during the ongoing festive season and strengthening our product portfolio offering customers more exciting choices,” he added.

Warranty Coverage

The New Honda Elevate will be offered with a three-year, unlimited-kilometre standard warranty from the date of purchase.

Customers will also be able to opt for an extended warranty of up to seven years with unlimited kilometres, while Honda’s Anytime Warranty programme extends coverage eligibility up to 10 years or 120,000 kilometres.

The latest Elevate update leaves its core petrol powertrain and dimensions largely unchanged, but significantly broadens the SUV’s equipment list. With ventilated rear seats, a 360-degree camera, electrically adjustable front seats, connected rear lighting and expanded driver assistance, Honda is clearly concentrating its efforts on the areas where India’s fiercely competitive mid-size SUV market increasingly demands attention: comfort, technology and perceived premiumness.
