New Delhi: Fuel-tech and mobility infrastructure company Nawgati has joined as a co-sponsor of the 2026 Annual General Meeting of the Petrol Dealers Association of Thane, Raigad and Palghar, or PDA-TRP, as fuel retailers gathered to discuss industry developments, regulatory matters and member communication.
The AGM was held at Aditya Banquets, Ashar IT Park, Wagle Estate, Thane, and brought together members of an association representing about 250 petrol dealers across the three Maharashtra regions.
Among the key items on the agenda was a resolution to establish a dedicated “PDA – Paid Members” group. The association said the group would be used to circulate trade updates, media reports, regulatory notifications and court rulings exclusively among paid members.
The move reflects the growing importance of quick access to regulatory and industry information for fuel retailers, particularly as dealerships deal with changing compliance requirements and increasingly digitised operations. In a business where even paperwork can have its own mileage, organised information-sharing has become increasingly important.
Speaking on the association, Vaibhav Kaushik, Co-founder and CEO, Nawgati, said, “Fuel retail in India runs on the strength of its dealer community, and associations like these play a critical role in keeping that community informed and connected. Supporting this AGM is a natural extension of the work we do every day with dealers across the country. As the industry navigates changing regulations, evolving customer expectations, and new technology, platforms that bring dealers together become even more important. We look forward to continuing this engagement in the months ahead.”
Nawgati’s participation in the meeting follows the earlier launch of Aaveg Pro, its digital operations platform designed for petroleum dealers.
According to the company, Aaveg Pro combines sales reconciliation, stock variation tracking, fleet invoicing, credit monitoring and daily accounting within a single system intended for fuel-pump operations.
The platform also supports VAT, GST, cess and surcharge-related processes, with the aim of helping dealers maintain more organised financial records and improve audit preparedness.
Nawgati said it has been working with dealer associations across India as fuel retailers increasingly adopt digital tools for accounting, inventory management and day-to-day station operations.
Founded in 2019 by Vaibhav Kaushik, Aalaap Nair and Aryan Sisodia, Nawgati began as a consumer-focused fuel information platform and has since expanded into fuel retail data and technology services.
The company says its broader focus includes reducing congestion at fuel stations and improving information around fuel availability for motorists.
The PDA-TRP AGM also underlined a wider shift taking place across India’s fuel retail sector, where dealer networks, regulatory communication and technology are becoming more closely intertwined. For petrol pump operators, the next phase of modernisation may depend as much on better information and back-office systems as it does on what happens at the forecourt.
