Bangalore: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has clocked cumulative sales of 34,034 units in February 2026, marking a healthy rise from 28,414 units sold in the same month last year. The numbers include 30,737 units in the domestic market and 3,297 units exported, reinforcing Toyota’s steady momentum in India.
In a market where competition is sharper than LED headlamps on high beam, Toyota’s February performance signals consistent customer confidence in its promise of quality, durability, and long-term ownership value.
Growth Backed by Trust and Technology
Commenting on the performance, Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, stated that the company’s February sales reflect sustained customer trust in Toyota’s product portfolio and ownership experience.
He highlighted that demand remains strong across segments, reaffirming Toyota’s strategy of delivering value-driven mobility solutions tailored to evolving customer expectations.
A notable contributor to the positive sentiment is the recently introduced Tech Package for the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, which has received encouraging customer feedback. With enhanced in-cabin comfort and convenience features, the package adds a touch of “smart sophistication” to the already popular hybrid SUV — because sometimes, even reliable cars enjoy a little gadget upgrade.
Portfolio Strength Continues
Toyota’s current lineup in India — ranging from the ever-dependable Toyota Innova Hycross to the rugged Toyota Fortuner and fuel-efficient hybrid offerings — continues to find favor among both urban and semi-urban buyers. The brand’s hybrid technology push also aligns well with India’s growing appetite for cleaner and more efficient mobility options.
Industry observers note that Toyota’s balanced approach — combining strong after-sales support, resale value, and product reliability — has helped it maintain steady growth even amid fluctuating market dynamics.
Exports Add Global Edge
With 3,297 units exported in February, TKM’s performance also underscores its growing relevance in global supply chains. Manufacturing excellence from its Bidadi plant continues to support both domestic and overseas demand.
As the Indian automotive market gears up for the new financial year, Toyota’s February numbers suggest that customers are not just buying cars — they are investing in peace of mind. And if February is any indication, Toyota’s sales graph seems to be climbing as smoothly as an e-CVT in traffic.
