Mumbai, January 23, 2026: Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has officially decided that fleet operators also deserve some premium treatment, not just survival mode. Expanding its Xpres portfolio beyond the popular electric version, Tata has now launched the Xpres in Petrol and CNG, aimed squarely at India’s ever-growing professional mobility market. And yes, the prices are as friendly as a cab driver who knows a shortcut—starting at ₹5.59 lakh for Petrol and ₹6.59 lakh for CNG (ex-showroom Delhi).
Powered by Tata’s tried-and-tested 1.2-litre Revotron engine with a manual gearbox, the new Xpres variants are built for long hours, heavy usage and minimal drama—basically everything a fleet car dreams of. The real headline, however, belongs to the Xpres CNG, which introduces a first-in-segment 70-litre (water capacity) twin-cylinder CNG tank, the largest in its class. Translation for operators: fewer refuelling stops, longer trips, and less time spent bonding with gas station attendants.

Even better, Tata has managed to solve the biggest heartbreak in the fleet world—boot space. Thanks to the smart twin-cylinder layout, the Xpres CNG offers best-in-segment usable luggage space, meaning suitcases can finally travel without being stacked like Jenga blocks on the back seat. Meanwhile, the petrol version flexes its muscles with a massive 419-litre boot, the largest in the petrol fleet sedan segment.
Speaking about the expanded Xpres line-up, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, “Tata Xpres was created to address the real operating challenges faced by fleet customers, including passengers and owners. Responding to the needs of our fleet customers, we are elated to introduce the first-in-segment 70-litre twin-cylinder CNG variant with best-in-segment usable boot space, alongside a petrol variant with the largest boot space. Built on our proven 1.2-litre Revotron powertrain and supported by long-term warranty, tailored finance and dedicated fleet dealerships, Tata Xpres fleet with its complete range of electric and ICE powertrains will offer a complete, future-ready mobility platform to our customers.”
On the ownership front, Tata is keeping things reassuringly simple. The Xpres ICE range comes with a standard warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 km, extendable up to a whopping 5 years or 1,80,000 km. Maintenance costs are pegged at just ₹0.47 per km, which is probably cheaper than your daily tea bill if you drive enough. Add tailored finance options, and the Xpres starts looking less like a car and more like a long-term business partner.
To complete the ecosystem, Tata Motors has also rolled out exclusive fleet-focused dealerships in select cities, offering dedicated sales and service support for commercial customers. This means faster service, better uptime, and fewer “sir, part nahi mila” moments.
With Petrol, CNG and EV options now under one Xpres umbrella, Tata Motors is clearly playing the long game in India’s fleet space. From airport transfers and cab aggregators to employee transport and tourist taxis, the new Xpres range promises one thing above all—more revenue per trip, more comfort per passenger, and hopefully, more five-star ratings per ride.
