Bengaluru — Tata Motors made a commanding statement at EXCON 2025, rolling out a fleet of heavy-duty, future-ready machines that look ready to build half the country before lunch. India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer showcased a mix of brute power, clean mobility and clever engineering—proving once again that infrastructure growth isn’t just about concrete and steel, but about the machines that bring them to life.
The star of the show was the all-new Prima 3540.K AutoShift, the most powerful tipper ever built by Tata Motors. Designed specifically for deep-mining applications, it arrives with the confidence of something that has wrestled with boulders and won. With a mighty 375 hp Cummins engine and a 12-speed automated manual transmission, the Prima 3540.K aims to redefine efficiency and reliability in terrains where even network signals refuse to go.

Sharing stage space with the mining beast was the Prima E.28K, Tata Motors’ first all-electric tipper, quietly reminding everyone that “zero emissions” does not mean “zero muscle.” Built for shallow mining, mineral movement and port operations, it offers high uptime and clean performance—perfect for operators who want power without guilt.
Sustainability continued to be a loud theme, even if the machines themselves were not. Tata Motors also introduced the Signa 2820.TK CNG, India’s first factory-fitted CNG tipper in the 28-tonne category, giving construction businesses a fuel-efficient, lower-cost route to profitability. Rounding off the lineup were high-capacity tippers like the Signa 4832.TK with its enormous 32 cubic metre load body, and the Prima 3532.TK purpose-built for aggregate movement.
Beyond vehicles, Tata Motors showcased a strong portfolio of aggregates—industrial engines, axles, and newly-developed 15 kVA and 35 kVA gensets—designed for long operational life and reduced downtime. These components are engineered to quietly do the heavy lifting behind the scenes, ensuring the big machines stay big performers.
Speaking at the launch, Rajesh Kaul, Vice President & Business Head – Trucks, said EXCON remains a crucial stage for Tata Motors to display engineering advancements built for India’s rapidly growing construction and mining sectors. “With the Prima 3540.K, we proudly mark our entry into the deep-mining segment,” he said. “And with the Prima E.28K, we are merging sustainability with serious performance.”
The aggregates portfolio was introduced by Vikram Agrawal, Head – Spares and Non-Vehicular Business, who emphasised the company’s focus on ruggedness and reliability. From new gensets to CEV BS V engines, the message was clear: uptime is king.
Like always, Tata Motors topped its hardware with intelligent support. Its Sampoorna Seva 2.0 ecosystem and Fleet Edge telematics platform ensure every truck owner enjoys maximum uptime, smarter diagnostics, and lower total cost of ownership—essentially, vehicles that complain less and work more.
With this expansive showcase, Tata Motors reinforced its commitment to powering India’s infrastructure wave with cleaner, smarter and stronger mobility solutions. And if EXCON 2025 is any indication, the company isn’t just keeping up with India’s growth—it’s accelerating it, gear by gear, watt by watt.
