A Leaner, Meaner Continental: Bentley Unveils the Supersports With 666 PS of Polite British Violence

In a world rapidly marching toward electrification, Bentley has looked around, nodded politely… and then unleashed a 666 PS rear-wheel-drive monster just to remind everyone that British madness isn’t dead—it’s merely been gym-toned, carbon-fiber-trimmed, and fed a strict diet until it weighs “sub-two-tonnes.” Ladies, gentlemen, and enthusiastic tyre-destroyers: presenting the all-new Bentley Supersports, the most driver-focused Continental GT ever created.

Strictly limited to just 500 individually-numbered examples (because exclusivity must be louder than its titanium Akrapovič exhaust), this is the fourth Supersports in Bentley’s century-long lineage—and by far the most rebellious. Rear-wheel drive. Two seats. Carbon roof. Dive planes. A giant fixed wing. And the smallest number of driver-assistance systems Bentley could remove without an HR inquiry.

In short: the Continental GT hit the gym and came back as a nightclub bouncer with a PhD.

💥 Power Figures That Belong on a Haunted House Poster

At its heart beats a twin-turbo V8 producing 666 PS—because apparently Bentley’s engineers wanted to flirt with numerology. Add 800 Nm of torque, an 8-speed dual-clutch, and rear-wheel drive, and you get 0–100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of around 310 km/h.

This is also the most vocal Bentley ever. The full-length Akrapovič titanium exhaust has been tuned to sound like Thor gargling warm thunder. And unlike modern cars, no fake speaker trickery here—the drama is 100% natural and entirely legal. Probably.

🏎️ Handling: Because Bentley Finally Let The Rear Wheels Speak

This is the first RWD Continental GT in history (other than the GT3 racecar), which means Bentley has officially signed your rear tyres’ resignation letters. With eLSD, torque vectoring, rear-wheel steering, and an increased rear track, the Supersports promises:

⚡ Sharper turn-in
⚡ 1.3g cornering on optional Trofeo RS tyres
⚡ ESC modes that go from “I’ve got you” to “You’re on your own, mate—good luck”

Sport mode turns the car into a road-legal adrenaline delivery system. Touring mode makes it the softest, calmest 666 PS GT ever engineered. Bentley mode… well, that one’s for people who can afford replacing tyres regularly.

🪶 Weight Loss Program: The Lightest Bentley in 85 Years

No hybrid system. No AWD. No rear seats. No problem.

The Supersports weighs almost 500 kg less than the regular Continental GT, thanks to:

  • Carbon fibre roof
  • Carbon fibre cabin tub
  • Carbon fibre aero kit
  • Deleted rear seats
  • Reduced insulation
  • Minimal driver aids
  • A sound system recalibrated for two people with excellent taste

The downforce? Bentley says: “More than 300 kg compared to the GT Speed.”
Translation: Bring neck exercises.

🛠️ Aerodynamics: More Carbon Than a Formula 1 Paddock

The Supersports wears the most serious aerodynamic attire ever fitted to a Bentley. Notably:

✨ Massive front splitter
✨ Stacked carbon dive planes
✨ B-shaped fender blades
✨ Giant rear diffuser
✨ Fixed rear wing
✨ Carbon mirror caps and engine cover

Everything here has been tested, tuned, and approved by wind tunnel scientists who now need therapy after seeing what 300+ kg of downforce looks like on a Bentley.

🎨 Two Seats, Infinite Drama

Inside, the reins go directly to the driver. The cabin is:

  • Two-seat only
  • Leather + Dinamica everywhere
  • Carbon fibre tub in the rear
  • Numbered plaques
  • Tri-tone options
  • Motorsport-bolstered seats
  • 11-way electric adjustments (because Bentley refuses to be too hardcore)

The vibe is: “racing car meets haute couture.”

🏁 Backstory: Project Mildred

This entire car exists because a small team of brilliant, slightly unhinged engineers wondered:

“What if we made the Continental GT rear-wheel drive… and under two tonnes?”

The idea started in 2024 with a secret test mule. Six weeks later, it was on track. The project was codenamed Mildred—inspired by Mildred Mary Petre, a motorsport and aviation pioneer who pushed boundaries in the 1920s. Perfect inspiration for a Bentley that pushes boundaries in the 2020s.

🎨 Bespoke? Absolutely. Because Bentley.

500 cars. Each individually numbered. Customers can request their number.

Choose from:

  • 24 standard performance colours
  • Matte finishes
  • Mulliner specials
  • Carbon in gloss or pinstripe
  • Tri-tone interiors
  • Brushed aluminium
  • Piano black
  • Design Themes like “Nightfall” and “Daybreak”

If you have imagination and money, Bentley has paint and patience.
