Because sometimes, saving lives needs torque as much as it needs heart.
Dehradun — JSW MG Motor India swapped chrome for care today, handing over a specially designed MG Hector Ambulance to SPYM (Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses) in the presence of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami. The event, held at the CM House, was more than just a ribbon-cutting—it was the ceremonial “start button” on a new chapter in elderly emergency care for the Dehradun district.

🏥 From Family SUV to First Responder
Once known for its plush interiors and panoramic sunroof, the Hector has undergone a purposeful transformation. The SUV is now equipped with an auto-loader stretcher, ventilator, para-monitor, oxygen bottle and regulator, making it ready to sprint through Rishikesh’s lanes at a moment’s notice.
Strategically stationed at Ram Vihar and Prem Nagar in Rishikesh, the ambulance will focus on providing timely emergency medical assistance to elderly citizens, ensuring that critical care reaches the vulnerable without delay.
🤝 Automotive Tech Meets Community Care
Speaking about the initiative, Yash Yadav, Head of Corporate Affairs, JSW MG Motor India, said:
“At JSW MG Motor India, we are driven by a purpose beyond mobility – to positively impact communities through innovation and care. By transforming our iconic Hector into a dedicated ambulance, we are enabling quick access to critical healthcare services in the Dehradun district.”
Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Executive Director, SPYM, expressed gratitude:
“This specially designed Hector ambulance will significantly strengthen our outreach and response capabilities. We are thankful to JSW MG Motor India for their support in enhancing emergency care for our elderly citizens.”
🌿 MG SEWA: Where Innovation Meets Impact
This initiative isn’t a one-off detour—it’s part of MG SEWA, the company’s social responsibility program that fuses mobility solutions with real-world social impact. MG has previously supported healthcare projects and continues to align with local and government bodies to make meaningful mobility accessible where it matters most.
So, while most Hectors are busy tackling weekend road trips, this one’s set to tackle medical emergencies—headlights blazing, sirens singing.
Because in Uttarakhand, the Hector just levelled up… from “Connected SUV” to “Compassion on Wheels.”
