Crown Jewel on Charge: MG Windsor Rules EV Kingdom for 11 Straight Months

Windsor’s record-breaking August sales prove that royalty doesn’t just wear a crown—it also plugs into a charger.

Gurugram: If consistency were an Olympic sport, JSW MG Motor India’s Windsor would be standing on the podium with both gold and a charging cable. For the 11th consecutive month, the Windsor has worn India’s best-selling EV crown, this time smashing its own record by selling 4,511 units in August 2025.

But the story doesn’t stop at wholesale dispatches—MG also reported its highest-ever retail sales and customer deliveries for the Windsor, making August a month of milestones (and more than a few extra high-fives in MG showrooms). Since launch, the Windsor has already glided past 41,000 sales, proving that electric dreams can indeed turn into grounded reality.

Windsor’s Winning Formula

The Windsor is no ordinary EV—it’s been showered with 30+ awards, including the prestigious Green Car Award 2025 by iCOTY. With its futuristic ‘AeroGlide’ design and interiors that feel like business class at 35,000 feet (minus the in-flight turbulence), Windsor blends the practicality of a sedan with the swagger of an SUV.

Highlights include:

  • BaaS pricing: Starts at ₹9.99 lakh + ₹3.9/km (because even royalty loves flexible payments).
  • Performance: 100 kW (136 PS) of power and 200 Nm torque, perfect for sprinting silently past fuel stations.
  • Comfort: Reclining ‘Aero Lounge’ seats up to 135°, because MG knows sometimes you need to nap through traffic.
  • Tech: A 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW touchscreen that makes other dashboards feel like they’re still running Windows 95.

EV Royalty With a Humble Plug

The Windsor hasn’t just been a disruptor—it’s a democratic ruler of the EV kingdom, delivering accessibility, comfort, and futuristic charm to Indian families. As MG likes to say, it’s not just selling cars; it’s selling the idea that driving electric can feel both noble and fun.

August might have been Windsor’s “record month,” but the bigger question is—who’s going to dethrone this silent monarch? For now, the Windsor reigns supreme, crown polished, batteries charged, and a smug grin on its grille.
