Carbon Copy of Cool: Range Rover Sport SV Carbon Goes Full-Fibre on Fierce and Fancy

Land Rover debuts the new Range Rover Sport SV Carbon — a lightweight luxury juggernaut that’s 76kg slimmer, 635PS meaner, and 100% more Forged Carbon fabulous

Gaydon, UK – If James Bond traded his tux for track pants and still wanted to look deadly doing it, he’d likely arrive in the newly unveiled Range Rover Sport SV Carbon—a performance SUV that proves carbon isn’t just good for your diet, it’s essential for your driveway.

Land Rover has just added the final (and possibly the flashiest) piece to its SV performance puzzle with the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon, joining the already menacing SV Black and the standard SV models. This new flagship isn’t just sporty—it’s carbon-sporty, and that’s a whole different flex.

The SV Carbon takes the already powerful 635PS, 750Nm twin-turbo V8 mild hybrid from its siblings and wraps it in a masterclass of carbon-fibre detailing that would make even a Formula 1 car feel underdressed. From the forged carbon fibre exterior pack (yes, that includes the exhaust surrounds) to the exposed Twill Carbon fibre bonnet, this beast is what happens when a material science PhD decides to build a muscle car in a Savile Row suit.

Optional 23-inch Carbon Fibre wheels shave off 76kg of weight — that’s the equivalent of ejecting a full-grown adult passenger, or in automotive terms, improving acceleration, ride quality, and your neighbours’ envy index.

But that’s not all. Want to stop like a boss? Tick the Carbon Ceramic Brakes box, and you’ll get eight-piston calipers in a choice of Blue, Yellow, Carbon Bronze, or “I’ll take my luxury in Black”.

Inside, the drama continues with Forged Carbon seatbacks, illuminated SV logos, and four stylish interior themes. If leather makes you twitch, fear not — the leather-free Ultrafabrics™ option in Cinder Grey/Ebony ensures that even your vegan friends will want a ride.

Meanwhile, Range Rover has thrown in BASS technology (Body and Soul Seat, not the nightclub variety), turning the front seats into vibration-powered music cocoons. Yes, you can feel the bass while stuck in traffic. Who needs a massage when your seat’s already vibing to Beyoncé?

Ryan Miller, Range Rover’s Product & Services Marketing Director, put it best:

“The new SV Carbon is an assertive interpretation of our luxury performance SUV. It’s stealthy, sculpted, and dripping in carbon — the kind of vehicle you park in front of a private jet, not behind a valet stand.”

And just in case you’re wondering if all this theatre slows it down: the SV Carbon hits 180mph, making it the fastest Range Rover Sport ever. That’s not a number. That’s a power move.

The SV Carbon will make its global debut on August 13 at the Monterey Car Week, nestled comfortably among champagne, collector Ferraris, and billionaires who “don’t do SUVs” — until they see this one.

In the world of performance luxury, the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon isn’t just carbon neutral — it’s carbon dominant.
