Bohemian Rapidity: Praga Bohema Outpaces Pure Petrol Rivals, Claims Top Gear Track Glory – on Road Tyres!

The Czech missile sets blistering lap, stuns hybrid hypercars, and prepares for a stylish triple delivery at Goodwood.

Move over hybrids, the purist petrol party just got a new headline act. The Praga Bohema, an audacious creation from the Czech Republic, has roared into the record books as the fastest pure-combustion production car ever to lap the Top Gear Test Track – and it did so wearing its Sunday best road tyres.

Clocking in a VBox-certified time of 1:09.8, the Bohema – piloted by ex-Stig and full-time superhuman Ben Collins – came dangerously close to the Aston Martin Valkyrie’s time, despite trailing it in horsepower and eco-conscious hybridism. The feat was made even more impressive by the fact that Ben literally drove the car to the circuit, changed into his race suit, and rocketed around the track like a carbon-clad tornado.

“It’s not even fair. This thing dances like a GT3 car and pulls like it’s late for a flight,” said Collins, who then casually mentioned, “We probably only did six laps. If I stitched together the perfect one, we might have needed a new lap board.”

The Bohema’s potent cocktail includes a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6, 700 bhp, and a curb weight of just 1,000 kg – or as Praga puts it: a svelte middleweight with the punch of a heavyweight and the grip of a gecko on caffeine.

But Praga wasn’t just at Dunsfold to make noise – they’re preparing to make an entrance. With the Goodwood Festival of Speed fast approaching, the company is planning a stylish triple handover of Bohema supercars to international buyers. Yes, it’s not just a launch; it’s a global coming-out party complete with hill runs, photographers, and an ex-Stig doing what he does best: frightening gravity.

The new owners – including the first from the United States – will see their track weapons delivered in style, with Collins again behind the wheel for the ceremonial dash up the hill. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of purple carbon blur and hear the sound of 700 angry Czech horses trying to outrun a V12-powered past.

“Goodwood is the perfect place to deliver these cars,” said Tomas Kasparek, Praga Cars owner and master of understatement. “It’s like handing over Excalibur at a jousting tournament.”

Each Bohema is built by hand in the Czech Republic and tailored to the owner’s tastes, from trim finishes to aerodynamic tweaks tested in an actual F1 wind tunnel – because apparently wind resistance is still a thing when you’re going 250 km/h with nearly a tonne of downforce glued to the road.

And for those wondering – no, this is not some rich man’s trailer queen. The Bohema is fully road-legal, has luggage compartments in its side pods, and might just beat your Uber to the pub.

With its Top Gear lap record and an upcoming triple delivery at Goodwood, the Praga Bohema has proven it’s not just a car – it’s a statement. A carbon-clad, V6-screaming, petrol-drinking ode to driving pleasure.

Now excuse us while we Google “how to afford a Praga Bohema” before someone drives one to the moon.
