Fuel of the Future, SUV of the Present: MG Hector Gets E20-Ready and London-Calling!

Gurugram – The MG Hector is ready to raise a toast—with ethanol! JSW MG Motor India has officially given its beloved internet-on-wheels a green badge of honour, certifying it for E20 fuel compatibility. That’s 20% ethanol, 80% sass, and 100% SUV charm.

Now available in 1.5L Petrol MT and CVT variants, this E20-compliant Hector starts at just INR 13.99 Lakh* (ex-showroom), making it both eco-friendly and wallet-friendly—a rare combo, much like an SUV that talks back to you without being married to you.

This move comes in line with the Government of India’s April 1, 2025 deadline for E20 compliance—though MG, always the teacher’s pet, turned in its homework a day early. With its Astor sibling already sipping ethanol since last year, the brand clearly doesn’t wait for trends; it drives them.

Rakesh Sen, Head of Sales at JSW MG Motor India, declared, “The Hector’s evolution reflects our promise to not just ride the future, but engineer it. Innovation and sustainability aren’t just buzzwords—they’re bumper stickers we wear with pride.”

But wait, there’s more. The iconic Hector, which first rolled out in 2019 as India’s first Internet SUV, isn’t just cleaner under the hood—it’s still turning heads on the street. With a giant 14-inch infotainment screen, over 70 connected features, panoramic sunroof, and a side of ADAS, this is an SUV that makes sure you’re entertained, informed, and safe—even if you’re lost and pretending not to be.

And to sweeten the E20 shift, MG is throwing a party—literally. Say hello to the MG Midnight Carnival, where showrooms stay open till the bewitching hour every weekend. And for 20 lucky buyers, the Hector might just come with a free ticket to London—a city as iconic as the SUV itself. Because who says ethanol can’t be glamorous?

In a world gearing up for greener roads, the E20-compliant MG Hector is proof that sustainability doesn’t have to come at the cost of swagger. It’s smarter. It’s greener. It’s still got a sunroof big enough to spot constellations through.

So yes, the fuel’s changed—but the attitude? That’s as bold as ever.
