Mumbai — Shifting gears toward a performance-packed year, Volkswagen India has officially opened pre-bookings for the all-new Tiguan R-Line, set to launch in April 2025. With bold R-inspired styling and an upgraded performance package, the latest iteration of Volkswagen’s globally acclaimed SUV is now poised to make waves in the Indian market.
Adding to the excitement, Volkswagen has also begun accepting expressions of interest for the Golf GTI Mk 8.5, the most powerful GTI ever, set to arrive in Q2 2025. The GTI will be available exclusively through the brand’s digital retail platform, reinforcing Volkswagen’s push for seamless, tech-forward experiences.
The Tiguan R-Line represents the next level of Volkswagen’s SUVW promise—merging sporty sophistication with robust engineering. Under the hood, it boasts a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine paired with 4Motion all-wheel-drive technology, generating 204 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque. With dimensions of 4539 mm (L) x 1859 mm (W) x 1656 mm (H) and a wheelbase of 2680 mm, the R-Line brings an assertive road presence backed by spacious luxury.
Commenting on the announcement, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen India, said,

The Tiguan R-Line will be offered in a dynamic palette of six premium colours, including Persimmon Red Metallic, Cipressino Green Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oryx White with Mother of Pearl Effect, and Oyster Silver Metallic.
Customers can pre-book the Tiguan R-Line at Volkswagen dealerships across India or via the company’s official website. Those keen on owning the legendary Golf GTI can now register their interest online as well.
