Porsche India Surpasses Milestone: Over 1,000 Cars Sold in 2024, New EVs and Centres Announced

New Delhi – Porsche India has set a remarkable benchmark in 2024, recording its highest-ever annual sales of 1,006 units. This achievement marks the first time the brand has crossed the four-figure sales barrier in the country, reflecting a 10% increase compared to 2023.

The record-breaking year comes on the back of successful launches of the new Porsche 911, Panamera, and the updated Cayenne. To build on this momentum, Porsche India unveiled two groundbreaking Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) — the second-generation Macan SUV and the updated Taycan sports saloon — at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi.

A Year of Growth and Expansion

“Surpassing 1,000 sales in 2024 is a testament to Porsche India’s dedication to delivering exceptional experiences and world-class vehicles,” said Manolito Vujicic, Brand Director, Porsche India. “Our expansion efforts, combined with new product introductions, have set a solid foundation for continued success.”

The company also announced plans to open three new Porsche Centres in Indore, Jaipur, and Lucknow by the end of 2025, further cementing its footprint in India. This follows the successful inauguration of centres in Pune and Hyderabad in 2023.

Electrifying the Indian Market

The newly unveiled Macan BEV and Taycan are expected to redefine electric luxury in India. The Macan BEV comes in three variants:

  • Macan – ₹1,21,62,000
  • Macan 4S – ₹1,38,62,000
  • Macan Turbo – ₹1,68,62,000

The Taycan BEV, now boasting an extended range of up to 678 km (WLTP), is available in two configurations:

  • Taycan 4S – ₹1,89,42,000
  • Taycan Turbo – ₹2,52,62,000

A more affordable two-wheel-drive Taycan model is slated for release later in 2025.

SUVs and Sports Cars Drive Sales Surge

SUVs continue to dominate Porsche India’s portfolio, with the Cayenne and Macan accounting for 71% of total sales in 2024. Meanwhile, the 911, 718 Cayman, and Boxster witnessed a remarkable 95% sales growth, underlining the rising demand for two-door sports cars.

Outlook for 2025 and Beyond

“2025 is poised to be a pivotal year for Porsche India. With a completely refreshed lineup launched over the past 14 months, we’re confident in sustaining this momentum,” added Vujicic. The brand is optimistic about its ability to capture new markets while enhancing its presence in India’s luxury automobile segment.

Porsche India’s record year signals an exciting future for electric mobility and luxury automotive enthusiasts, paving the way for an electrifying 2025.
