Kerala Drives into the EV Future: Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Launches Exclusive Retail Stores in Kannur and Thrissur

Kochi – Accelerating Kerala’s journey towards sustainable mobility, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), a subsidiary of Tata Motors and a trailblazer in India’s EV sector, has unveiled two exclusive TATA.ev retail outlets in the state. These stores mark the rapid expansion of EV-focused infrastructure in Kerala, following the inauguration of the first two TATA.ev outlets in August 2024.

The latest additions—located in Thottada, Kannur, and Kuttanellur, Thrissur—were inaugurated by Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer of TPEM, in the presence of dealer principals and industry stakeholders.

Pioneering EV Facilities in Kannur and Thrissur

  1. Kannur Store and Service Hub:
  • Spanning 5,200 sq. ft., the Kannur outlet at Thottada is South India’s first EV-exclusive retail store and service center.
  • The facility boasts a 10-bay service workshop, emphasizing Tata’s commitment to after-sales excellence and customer convenience.
  • Strategically located in the heart of Kannur’s automobile hub, it aims to cater to the growing demand for EVs in the region.
  1. Thrissur’s Sustainable Retail Space:
  • Situated in Kuttanellur, along National Highway 544, the 7,000 sq. ft. Thrissur outlet underscores TPEM’s dedication to sustainability by reusing and modernizing an existing facility.
  • This retail store focuses on delivering a superior customer experience while staying true to the brand’s eco-friendly ethos.

Kerala: A Rising Hub for EV Adoption

TPEM’s expansion into Kerala signals the state’s increasing appetite for electric vehicles. The dedicated TATA.ev stores serve as one-stop destinations for EV enthusiasts, offering sales, service, and education about the advantages of transitioning to electric mobility.

By introducing these state-of-the-art outlets, TPEM not only enhances access to EVs but also reinforces its leadership in India’s green mobility revolution.

As Kerala continues to prioritize sustainable development, Tata’s initiatives are poised to accelerate the shift toward an eco-conscious future, setting a benchmark for EV infrastructure across India.
