Mahindra Truck and Bus Boosts West Bengal Market with Advanced Kolkata Dealership

New Kolkata dealership offers state-of-the-art service for commercial vehicles, supporting Mahindra’s expansion strategy across India.

Kolkata: Mahindra Truck and Bus Division (MTBD) has launched its latest dealership in Kolkata, marking a significant expansion in West Bengal. Operated by M/s. Avighna Automotive Pvt Ltd, this new facility becomes the 86th MTBD dealership across India, equipped to serve the full spectrum of Mahindra’s commercial vehicles. Spanning 40,000 square feet with 14 service bays, the dealership is designed to service up to 28 vehicles daily, supporting a comprehensive suite of services from sales to spares, and on-the-spot repairs.

The new facility is part of MTBD’s broader expansion strategy, which includes 86 dealerships, 172 authorized service centers, and over 2,900 roadside assistance points nationwide. This extensive network is complemented by more than 1,600 retail outlets and 22 strategically located MParts Plazas, enhancing parts accessibility on key trucking routes.

At the inauguration, Vinod Sahay, MTBD President and Chief Purchase Officer of AFS, expressed confidence in the dealership’s potential to elevate Mahindra’s market position. “MTBD’s unique offerings, like our ‘Get More Mileage or Give the Truck Back’ guarantee and extensive dealer network, demonstrate our commitment to the commercial vehicle ecosystem. This state-of-the-art facility and our expanding range of trucks and buses enable us to set new benchmarks in customer service,” he noted.

Additionally, Jalaj Gupta, Business Head of MTBD & CE, emphasized the company’s focus on efficiency and technology. “Our iMAXX telematics solution provides real-time insights on fuel, driver behavior, and vehicle health, putting control back in the hands of our transport partners. Our promise of superior mileage, as embodied by ‘Zyada Mileage Nahin toh Truck Wapas,’ offers customers substantial value,” he added.

Mahindra’s Blazo X, Furio, Optimo, and Jayo trucks are India’s only commercial vehicle range with double service guarantees and superior fuel efficiency. Alongside its innovation-driven service model, MTBD ensures rapid response for breakdowns, offering a 48-hour recovery guarantee with compensation, should it not be met.

Further enhancing Kolkata’s service infrastructure, MTBD also supports a dedicated Fast Response Center and collaborates with the Ramakrishna Mission Institute to train skilled technicians at the Regional Training Center in Belur Math, having trained over 1,100 technicians to date.

This robust support network, combined with MTBD’s commitment to quality, underscores Mahindra’s dedication to meeting and exceeding the needs of India’s commercial transportation sector.
