Nissan Unveils the Bold and Tech-Loaded Magnite at INR 5.99 Lakhs: Expanding Horizons Beyond India

In a move that bolsters India’s position as a global manufacturing hub, Nissan has launched the highly anticipated, revamped Nissan Magnite. With a competitive introductory price of INR 5.99 lakhs, the new Magnite isn’t just a car; it’s a statement of innovation, safety, and design excellence that is ready to impress both local and international markets.

A Bold New Design That Stands Out

At the heart of this launch is the Magnite’s bolder and more commanding presence on the road. Featuring a redesigned honeycomb grille and increased ground clearance, the Magnite exudes confidence and power. Its new floating uplifted skid plate, R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels, and signature L-shaped daytime running lights ensure that the Magnite doesn’t just blend into traffic; it leads it.

With the sleek LED headlamps and taillamps, combined with 11 different body color options—six monotone and five dual-tone—the Magnite’s exterior is a perfect blend of elegance and attitude. It’s built for those who want a car that reflects their unique style.

Tech-First: Leading the Segment

Technology takes center stage inside the Magnite. From a floating 20.32 cm touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to the Nissan Around View Monitor (AVM) that offers 360-degree visibility, the Magnite packs more than 20 segment-first features, ensuring every drive is as intuitive as it is exciting.

Further enhancing convenience is the Remote Engine Start and the tech-loaded smart key, allowing users to unlock and start the car from a distance of up to 60 meters. For tech enthusiasts, the optional tech pack, complete with a dashcam and wireless charger, transforms the Magnite into a futuristic driving experience.

International Appeal and Make-in-India Spirit

What makes this launch even more significant is the Magnite’s global reach. Manufactured in Nissan’s Chennai facility, the car is now set to be exported to over 65 countries, including left-hand drive markets. This move underlines India’s crucial role in Nissan’s global strategy, with Frank Torres, President of Nissan India Operations, reaffirming the company’s commitment to expanding its international footprint from Indian soil.

Since its initial launch in 2020, the Magnite has already crossed 150,000 units sold, cementing its popularity not only in India but across global markets. Nissan’s ‘Make-in-India, Make for the World’ mantra continues to fuel this success.

Premium Interiors for Ultimate Comfort

Inside the cabin, the Magnite does not shy away from luxury. The new leatherette upholstery with a distinctive honeycomb quilting pattern, a brownish-orange wrapped dashboard, and a cooled glove box make it a haven of comfort. The expanded boot space of up to 540 liters, along with the largest rear knee room and best-in-class front seat couple distance, ensure that every journey is as comfortable as it is stylish.

Safety and Performance—A Winning Combination

Safety has always been a priority for Nissan, and the new Magnite is no exception. The car is equipped with a robust suite of over 40 standard safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control, and hydraulic brake assist. For families, features like child locks, ISOFIX seat anchorages, and a tire pressure monitoring system come as standard, offering peace of mind during every drive.

Under the hood, the Magnite continues to deliver strong performance with its 1.0L turbo engine, known for its fuel efficiency and smooth acceleration. The X-TRONIC CVT gearbox ensures seamless shifts, making city driving effortless and highway cruising a breeze.

A Global Vision for the Future

Nissan’s new Magnite launch signifies more than just a new car on the market; it represents a shift in the automotive landscape, especially for India. The Chennai-based plant, shared by Nissan and Renault, is a testament to India’s growing importance in global manufacturing and innovation. Nissan’s global business strategy, centered on strengthening its product portfolio and advancing electrification, places India firmly in the driver’s seat of its future ambitions.

As Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, remarked at the launch, “The new Magnite delivers value on all fronts—safety, premium features, and a powerful yet efficient powertrain. We are confident it will continue to resonate with both Indian and global customers.”

With its cutting-edge technology, bold design, and affordable price tag, the new Nissan Magnite is set to capture the imagination of car enthusiasts worldwide—while proudly flying the flag for Indian innovation on a global scale.
