Launch of Swift S-CNG sets a new benchmark with an impressive 32.85 km/kg mileage
New Delhi, September 12, 2024: Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has introduced the highly anticipated S-CNG variant of its popular Epic New Swift. This latest addition enhances the iconic hatchback’s reputation by offering a best-in-class fuel efficiency of 32.85 km/kg, making it the most efficient hatchback in its category.
Building on the Swift’s enduring appeal, this version comes with the same sporty design and exceptional performance. The S-CNG is available in three variants: V, V(O), and Z, expanding the range from two in the previous model. Each variant is powered by a 5-speed manual transmission, ensuring both versatility and fuel savings without compromising the driving experience.
The new Swift S-CNG’s heart is the Z-series Dual VVT engine, optimized for low CO2 emissions and delivering a robust 101.8 Nm of torque at 2900 rpm, ideal for smooth city driving. Its enhanced fuel efficiency is over 6% better than the previous generation, adding an eco-friendly edge to the spirited Swift performance fans have come to love.

Maruti Suzuki remains a leader in the CNG space, offering a comprehensive lineup of 14 S-CNG models across different segments, including the Swift. As of today, Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG vehicles have achieved significant success, helping the company reduce 2 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. The rising demand for eco-friendly vehicles saw a 46.8% increase in CNG sales last year alone, a testament to the company’s commitment to green mobility solutions.
The Swift S-CNG also boasts an array of modern features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, and automatic climate control. A 7-inch Smart Play Pro infotainment system with Suzuki Connect offers seamless connectivity, further enhancing the driving experience.
The new Swift S-CNG can be acquired through the Maruti Suzuki Subscribe program, which allows customers to drive a new vehicle with a monthly subscription fee starting at ₹ 21,628, covering all registration, service, insurance, and roadside assistance costs.
With over 67,000 units sold within four months of its launch, the Epic New Swift continues to dominate the premium hatchback market. The new S-CNG variant solidifies its position as a top choice for drivers seeking both performance and fuel-efficiency.
