Acura has made a thrilling debut at this year’s Monterey Car Week by unveiling the Integra Type S HRC Prototype, a vehicle that could redefine street and track performance. Developed with the expertise of Honda Racing Corporation (HRC), this prototype hints at a future line of HRC performance parts designed to elevate the driving experience for enthusiasts.
The Integra Type S HRC Prototype, which will be on display at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering on Friday, August 16, represents the pinnacle of Acura’s engineering prowess. It’s a car built for those who demand the highest level of performance, whether on the road or the racetrack.

Crafted at the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles, the Integra Type S HRC Prototype boasts a striking appearance with its Indy Yellow Pearl paint, a nod to the iconic NSX. The weight of the prototype has been significantly reduced thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber, including in the hood, rear door panels, and the custom Recaro bucket seats. This focus on weight reduction, combined with an optional air conditioning delete, results in a car that is nearly 200 pounds lighter than the standard Integra Type S.

Handling is razor-sharp, thanks to a lowered, track-ready suspension and a wider track width achieved by forged lightweight wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R ultra-high-performance tires.
